A Saudi citizen is ready to pay SAR100,000 (P1.3 million) penalty for the release of an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) who is in jail in Jeddah.
A man named Abdulaziz Khamees as reported by GMA News Online, said in the presence of Consul RJ Sumague of the Philippine Consulate in Jeddah, that he is willing to give the said amount to free Junevie San Juan.

A Saudi citizen is ready to pay SAR100,000 (P1.3 million) penalty for the release of an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) who is in jail in Jeddah. The said amount is needed for her to be repatriated back to the Philippines.
A man named Abdulaziz Khamees as reported by GMA News Online, said in the presence of Consul RJ Sumague of the Philippine Consulate in Jeddah, that he is willing to give the said amount to free Junevie San Juan. San Juan was arrested on October 9, 2013, just days after her arrival in the Kingdom to work as dental assistant.
The drug possession case had caused the OFW to spend three years in jail. However, San Juan denied the allegation, firmly insists that she was a victim of a drug smuggling syndicate with operations in Saudi Arabia and the Philippines.

Consul RJ Sumague earlier announced that Junevie could be freed from jail after she had served her sentence, but she still need to pay SAR100,000 for her to be finally released.
Abdulaziz Khamees after talking to her parents last December parents while they were in Jeddah, believed that Junevie is a victim. Khamees then promised to pay the required amount for Junevie's release.
Consul Sumague is very grateful for Abdulaziz for his help without asking for any favor in return.
Abdulaziz, who can speak fluent Tagalog, said “Walang problema po tutulungan ko kayo huwag kayo mag-alala,” referring to Junevie's parents.
