Filipinos in the UAE are not required to submit certificate of good conduct to apply for work visa. In a social media post, Consul General Paul Raymund Cortes said that on February 15, the UAE Ministry of Labor implemented a rule that Filipinos in the UAE who are applying for a new work visa or transferring in a new company will not be required to submit certificate of good conduct but it will be effective only until June 2018.
Cortes emphasized that until before June 2018, OFWs in the UAE is not required to obtain NBI clearances, but, starting June, they will be required to do so.

Submission of certificate of good conduct was made mandatory to all expats in the UAE who are applying for work visa effective February 4. All nationalities will not be allowed to apply for work visa without the said document.
