Just recently, an abduction attempt was caught on CCTV camera. Sonya, a mother of a 10 yr-old pupil was furious as her daughter was almost kidnapped by unknown people who allegedly abduct children.
On March 21 in San Dionisio, Parañaque, after their classes, Anna was asked by her classmate to go to the gym near their school. A woman approached them while a man standing was behind them. The woman asked the pupils where to find the barangay. The pupils responded by pointing the way to the barangay but the woman insisted that they come with her to the place. Anna then said: "We already showed you the direction, why would you want us to still go with you?"
The woman said that they need to take their measurements for their P.E. uniform and forcibly taken them to the nearby fast food chain telling the kids that their teacher was waiting for them. The other kid followed in fear as the woman asked them to change their clothes at the restroom. Anna did not do what the woman said. When they went out, the woman grabbed Anna's arm tightly then brought her in a dark area across the street. The woman insisted that she change her clothes.
Anna strongly resisted and hit the woman with her elbow then she ran away. As she escape, Anna saw her teacher and told her what happened. They went back to the fast food chain and found the other kid crying in fear. The woman and the man that was with her was nowhere to be found.
An investigation about the incident is currently being conducted. The authorities warned every parents to carefully watch over their children and for the children not to come with a stranger or even talk to them .
Another video from Minglanilla, Cebu about a white van allegedly used for abducting or kidnapping pupils that has been caught by the police surfaced. The suspects that were put on hold in a police station denied the allegations that they kidnap kids saying that they are representatives of interactive learning materials for kids.
For years, reports about a white van that allegedly abduct kids and harvest their organs and sell it to international buyers sow fear among parents.
Whether it is true or not, it is always better for the parents to watch their kids and fervently remind them NEVER to talk to strangers even if they say that they know their parents or anyone they know.
We need to be vigilant and watchful because the bad elements never ran out of schemes to lure their victims to their traps.
