Duterte's Option if Comelec Don't Allow Him To Run As President

The complications of Mayor Rodrigo Duterte's Presidential bid has brought so many rumors with other possible options so he could run as presidential candidate. Last week, OFW Family Party List Rep. Roy Señeres offered him a chance to become his substitute with 3 conditions, along with this he must also transfer to his political party.

Mayor Duterte filed his COC already as a substitute for Martin Diño as PDP-Laban  presidential candidate.
In a statement made by Mayor Duterte, he made it clear that without Allan Cayetano as his tandem (Vice President) he would withdraw. He also added that Comelec simply has to decide the matter legally and if his bid as Presidential candidate won't be accepted he will simply retire.

"I don’t have any problem with that if it is the decision of the Comelec,” he said.
“If the Comelec decides to disqualify me, so be it. I won’t die if I don’t become President,” Duterte said.

How To Avoid Losing Money From The ATM Syndicate

VICTIMIZING OFWs, THEIR FAMILIES and THOSE FILIPINOS WITH ATMs.
"A type of fraud which occurs when an ATM is compromised by askimming device, a card reader which can be disguised to look like a part of the machine. The card reader saves the users' card number and pin code, which is then replicated into a counterfeit copy for theft."

Do you have ATM or your love ones are using ATMs when withdrawing and paying bills? A very common modus now a days and there are a lot of complaints already regarding this as reported in the videos below. So many people will receive bonuses and will spend for so many gifts this holidays, and OFWs will be sending money for their loveones.

GCC Health Director: Philippines sends 'sick' maids to the Gulf Countries

In a report via Emirates 24/7, Dr Tawfiq Khowja, director general of the executive office of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) health ministers said that, "many housemaids coming from the Philippines to work in the oil-rich Gulf have been found to be sick in the absence of measures to examine them before they arrive".

We suspect that this was in relation to the abolition of the GAMCA or the Gulf Approved Medical Centres Association which was abolished and instead allowing OFWs to choose clinics for physical and medical exams as long as the hospital are within the lists of accredited hospitals by DOH.
Dr. Khowja said: “Many of those centres are forging medical reports issued for those maids and other domestic workers…this has led to a large increase in Philippine domestic workers who are sick or are unfit for work,” he said.

“We have received many reports about Gulf families complaining that they have discovered that their maids are suffering from diseases including diabetes and high blood pressure and that they have to be taken to hospitals quite often…most of those reports said the employers found that their maids are not fit for that job.”

Khowja said the executive office has reported the problem to the Riyadh-based GCC secretariat to take the necessary measures.

Is is true? What measures that the Philippine government and recruitment agencies are taking to avoid this to happen and to ensure that this is being addressed properly?

On the other hand, some hospitals and medical centers in the Philippines are accused of having modus, the tanim sakit that victimized OFWs and those applying for jobs abroad.

Señeres Gives 3 Conditions For Duterte To Be His Substitute Candidate

OFW Family Party List Representative Roy Señeres said today that he is open to the possibility that Mayor Duterte would substitute him as the Presidential candidate. However, he mentioned 3 conditions must be met.

In order for this substitution to happen in case the conditions set by Señeres are met, according to the Commission on Elections, the substitute candidate, and the one withdrawing from Presidential bid should come from the same party or coalition. In line with this Señeres added “He (Duterte) could swear an oath of allegiance to the FPP. As a member, he could run for any position he pleases. No one’s stopping him from switching parties”.

Few days ago, he had a radio interview where he also said that they (Duterte and Señeres) should talk regarding supporting each other and he explained why he believes Sen. Grace Poe should be allowed to run.

DepEd To Provide Financial Assistance For Grade 11 and 12 Students

GOOD NEWS! DepEd will be REOPENING the Voucher Program Application to enable more Grade 10 completers to have the option to enroll in SHS in private schools, private universities and colleges, local or state universities and colleges or technical vocational institutions for school year 2016-2017.

Applications will be accepted from April 22 to May 6, 2016 only. The deadline is non-extendable. Results will be announced on or before May 20, 2016.

After the Philippines has adapted its education system to K12, the number of years kids have to spend in school  increased from 10 years to 12 years.

In order to help families with the education and tuition cost for the 2 added years in school, DepEd introduced the Senior High School Voucher Program (SHS VP) as a mechanism to provide financial assistance to senior high school students.

Through the SHS VP, the DepEd engages the non-DepEd Senior High School providers to enroll qualified voucher recipients from both Public and Private Junior High Schools. Once qualified voucher recipients are enrolled in non-DepEd Senior High School providers, the DepEd will provide assistance to these students through a voucher subsidy paid to the non-DepEd Senior High School provider.
All students who pass Grade 10 by March 2016 are eligible for the program. Those who are studying in public schools are automatically a Voucher program beneficiary. If a Grade 10 student is from private school, the private school he/she must be attending is part of Education Service Contracting (ESC) program of the Department of Education. This may be verified at the school's registrar.

Students may apply online or through their school. The following are the steps highlighted by the Department of Education on how the students should process their application.
