SR10,000 Fine For Employers Who Will Violate Employees' Leave Rule On Saudi Labor Law



A new revision on the table approved by Minister of Labor and Social Development Ali Al-Ghafees in view of the changes and developments in the labor market has set penalties for employers who will violate the rights of expat employees as stated in the Saudi Labor Law.  Several fine schedules has been set for employers such as follows:  —SR10,000 will be given to employers if they violate Labor Law provision with regard to the prescribed holidays of their employees.   —For employers who violate the revised Article 38 of the Labor Law by allowing a non-Saudi employee to work in a profession other than the one specified in his work permit a SR10,000 fine will be imposed.  —The same amount of fine (SR10,000) will be imposed if Article 15 is violated by not opening a file of the firm in the Labor Office or not updating the data of the firm at the office. A fine of  SR10,000 will be given to employers for not having organizational regulations or not complying with them.  Likewise, failure to submit the Wage Protection file to the Labor Office every month will result in SR10,000 fine.  SR15,000 fine will be given if the firm fails to meet the requirements of health and occupational safety of its staff. “STAY HERE, SAUDI ARABIA NEEDS FILIPINOS.” -LABOR MINISTER MUFREJ AL HAQABANI

Mufrej Al Haqabani,the Minister  of Labor and Social Development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia  said that Saudi Arabia encourages Filipino workers to continue working in the Kingdom because they are needed there and that Saudi Arabia is still a good place for the expats to work and assures that the Saudi Oger crisis is just an isolated case.

A talk between Philippine Labor Secretary Silvestre bello III and Al Haqabani has taken place and focused on resolving the problems of stranded Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).During the talk,Bello informed Al Haqabani thet the Philippine President  Rodrigo Duterte wants to visit KSA as soon as possible to personally thank the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman for extending help for the distressed OFWs.

Why Kabayan, Why?

The Filipino community, and the overseas Filipino's in Saudi Arabia are in shocked over the news that a run-away household service worker named Lady Joy, illegally living with a Syrian national. Worst, she not only lived with him, but are making explosive materials and belts for terrorist operation.

The recent article, her name was mentioned as Lady Gioi Aban Bali Nang and it doesn't sound like a Filipina.





A Filipina, held along with a Syrian national on Wednesday for involvement in terrorist activities, was wearing a suicide vest at the time of her arrest.

“She would wear an explosive vest when the Syrian man was out of the house to threaten any intruders,” the Saudi Interior Ministry spokesman said on Saturday.

The man, identified as Yasser Mohammed Shafiq Al-Barazi, had bobby-trapped his home in Al-Fayhaa district. It took security forces 12 hours to defuse the explosive devices and secured the premises.

Al-Barazi, who entered the Kingdom in 2010, is believed to have forced the Filipna, identified as Lady Gioi Aban Bali Nang, to live with him after she ran away from her sponsor more than 15 months ago.
