Top 10 Highest Paying Jobs For 2017 Graduates

A job with a good salary is hard to find especially for fresh graduates in the Philippines. Plus if your field of study or course is not related to the available job but you need to earn, you end up underemployed.  That is why for college freshmen, it is important to choose a course that is in demand or will be in-demand few years later so that when you graduate, you will have a big chance to be employed based on what you learned.

This year, job employment site, Jobstreet released its 2017 Fresh Graduates Report regarding Top 10 best paying jobs in the Philippines.

According to Jobstreet Philippines country manager Philip Gioca, the report is based on the unique jobs published on Jobstreet from September to December 2016 and on a survey sent out to employers on fresh graduate hiring preferences.

  



According to the report, the following are the highest paying jobs for fresh graduates, based on the average salaries given:

1. Law/legal services – P27,124
2. Healthcare-related – P23,216 
3. Journalism – P21,777 
4. IT-related – P21,703 
5. Education – P21,457 
6. Actuarial science – P21,048 
7. Training and development – P20,838 
8. Banking/financial services – P20,092 
9. Public relations – P20,055 
10. Advertising/media planning – P19,960



Jobstreet added that salaries in law, health care, and journalism continues to increase since 2015, while IT specialist that is frequently in Top 3 decreased in the previous years.



This year, industries that will likely to hire fresh graduates are in;

  • Manufacturing - 33%
  • Healthcare - 26%
  • IT - Software - 22%
A piece of advice. If you are fresh graduates and looking for a job be careful with your attitude and do not ask how much will be your salary. It is because according to Jobstreet your attitude, field of study and asking salary are the top three factors that affect your chance of getting hired for a job. Good Luck!
