Admin Hans Cacdac: Questions and Answer Regarding OWWA Updates and OFW Benefits


The Overseas Welfare Workers Administration (OWWA) is doing its best to connect with every Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) around the world to answer their queries.  This is through Facebook Live in the official account of OWWA Administrator Hans Leo Cacdac, that is also shared in OWWA Official Facebook Page.  This week, Cacdac gives news update, particularly in three things.


The Overseas Welfare Workers Administration (OWWA) is doing its best to connect with every Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) around the world to answer their queries.

This is through Facebook Live in the official account of OWWA Administrator Hans Leo Cacdac, that is also shared in OWWA Official Facebook Page.

This week, Cacdac gives news update, particularly in three things.

1. The recommendation of OWWA Board of Trustees in their meeting to a lot of funds for Rapid Response Team (RRT) to be deployed in Saudi and Qatar for OFWs there that needed help.

The RRT will help labor attache and welfare officers to response OFWs need in those countries.

2. Due to Marawi Conflict, Cacdac mentioned that there are almost 3,500 OFWs in the city who receives cash relief assistance from OWWA with the total fund allocation of P7 million

3. OWWA has an approved proposal for additional staffing for welfare offices abroad, especially in the Middle East.








In closing, Cacdac announces that the Saudi government has extended for the 30 days the Amnesty Program for undocumented or illegal expatriate staying in Saudi Arabia.

As of the moment, Cacdac said that there are around 2, 200 undocumented OFW availed the Amnesty Program and has exit visa already.
