In his message on the 83rd anniversary of the Department of Labor and Employment, he vowed to consolidate the the protection and security given to the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs)
Sec. Bello also expressed gratitude for the DOLE partners who helped maintain the harmony and peace in the labor industry with a call to take care of the investors and employers to continue to generate more jobs.
Thanking the employers and investors for their contributions to Philippine economy, Sec. Bello said that they are the most important partners of DOLE.
The Secretary reiterated that one of the goals of the Duterte administration is to create a persuasive environment for the the investors to come to the Philippines and to provide inspiration to the local businesses to expand more and generate more jobs.
Sec. Bello said that this goal is vital to hit 7.5 million jobs that President Duterte has promised to create during his term.
Sec. Bello calls on all officials and employees of the department to serve all Filipinos well, for the labor and employment sector reforms and for the welfare of the rights and dignity of the workers and for the continuing trust and confidence of the investors in the country.
