Pagkuha ng lisensya sa Pinas, hihigpitan na; 15 hours of training, kailanganin

Matapos makakuha ng bagong impormasyon tungkol sa dami ng naitalang paglabag sa batas-trapiko, magiging mas mahigpit na raw ang Land Transportation Office (LTO) sa mga nais kumukuha ng lisensya.

Ayon sa LTO, bago makakuha ng student's permit ang isang aspiring driver ay kakailangan muna nitong magkaroon ng 15 oras ng training mula sa isang accredited driving school. Itong naging plano ng ahensya matapos makita ang recent statistics na inilabas ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

Sa datos mula sa MMDA, mga 12,000 na tsuper sa Metro Manila ang nagkaroon ng hindi bababa sa tatlong traffic violations. Bukod pa rito, ang pinakamatinding kaso raw na naitala ay ang sa isang bus driver na nakagawa ng lampas 500 violations simula noong 2005.  

Balak ng LTO na ipatupad ang additional requirement para sa mga student driver simula sa darating na Abril.

"Dapat kasi gayahin n'yo ang systema sa ibang bansa may points system ang violations. Kapag beating the red light o counterflow, pinakamataas ang points. Kapag lumampas sa limit ang violations ng driver in one year, hindi na mare-renew o automatic cancel ang lisensya. 'Di 'yong mga student permit pag-iinitan nyo," ani Ray Mun.

House Bill Requires Government Officials To Use Public Transportation Once A Month


Traffic is the the problem that the commuters in the Philippines is facing everyday and deemed almost impossible to solve. With millions of commuters and growing number of vehicles added by inefficient and faulty railways, this dilemma is a burden for every commuters who come to work schools and elsewhere. This is the problem that has been handed down from administration to administration and unless the government formulate and implement an effective solution, will stay for generations. Representative Niel Abayon of AANGAT TAYO Party List passed a bill that will require all public officials to experience the sentiments of the riding public by ordering them to take public transportation once a month. House Bill 6195 or the "Public Servants' Commuting via Public Transport Act" requires all elected and appointed national and local government officials and public servants with the rank of division chief to department secretary. The President , Vice-president, supreme court justices and those in serious medical conditions are exempted. Public officials can take their pick from buses, jeepneys, trains, taxis. It they have to travel by air, officials has to use the economy class seats. penalties awaits those who will not comply. The bill proponent said that this will help the lawmakers to further influence their policy making to solve the growing traffic problem in the country. Some public officials agreed on the policy. DFA Secretary Allan Peter Cayetano said that it doesn't even need to be a bill for the public officials to do it. They can take initiative and take public transportation systems to feel how the common people struggle everyday. Soon There Will Be A Metro Manila Subway


Traffic congestion in Manila has been a problem for ages and deemed almost impossible to resolve. Many Presidents come and go but the traffic still remains. As a matter of fact, former president Noynoy Aquino even said that heavy traffic is a sign of progress. Do you agree with him? However, the Duterte administration through Department of Transportation is very determined to end traffic problems by building transportation infrastructure and finding ways on how to address the problem that has been tormenting every Filipino. Part of this traffic solutions is the plan to build a subway system that extends from Quezon City all the way to Taguig. DOTR Officials disclosed that japan will help for funding the said project. The subway which is about 30 meters away from the surface and with length of 25.3 kilometer. It also has 14 stations which will start from Mindanao and Quirino stations in Quezon City, it will traverse through Bonifacio Global City and will end at FTI Taguig City. the subway is expected to serve 300,000 commuters everyday. The subway system is could minimize the travel time in EDSA by 30%. The initial project cost will be around 277 billion pesos which will come from Japan. the MMDA and Phivolcs are among the agencies to be the first to conduct initial planning for the subway system. This way, they will address the safety issues if ever natural occurrences like flooding and earthquake such as the anticipated "The Big One". JICA's research has anticipated the number of commuters to rise up to 9 million in 2030 from the present 1.5 million. DOTr Secretary Art Tugade, DPWH Secretary Mark Villar, and MMDA Chairman Danny Lim visit the Shin-Yokohama subway train station, which is undergoing construction. The DOTr will use Japanese Tunneling Technology in building the Metro Manila Subway. BBC NEWS ASKED MANILA: Is this the worst city to drive in the world?


"It takes at least two-and-a-half hours to move from one point to another," says management consultant Kaiz Patel. Moreover public transport is "completely dysfunctional", he says. We look at the frustrations of working in Philippines capital Manila, and what the government is doing to address it."

 "Gridlocked for much of the day, Manila's roads are symbolic of the significant infrastructure problems the Philippines faces. Vast amounts of time are lost, and huge amounts of pollution generated, by the capital's stop-go traffic.
