11,000 Jobs Available in Build, Build, Build Program — Here's How To Apply

The Department of Public Work and Highways (DPWH) has more than 11,000 construction-related jobs for all Filipinos out there who want to work here in the Philippines.  And another good thing about this job opportunity is that you can apply online through a portal launched by DPWH under "Build, Build, Build" infrastructure program of the Duterte Administration.   According to DPWH Secretary Mark Villar, job seekers can visit the website — www.build.gov.ph to see the list of jobs where they can apply also online. He added, the 11,000 jobs were just the initial batch of more than 100,000 jobs that would be generated by the Build, Build, Build projects. Jobs were not only in Metro Manila but soon in Visayas and Mindanao. Job seekers can apply for project foreman, laborer, assistant mechanic, Auto-cad operator, admin staff, executive assistance, dispatcher, an engineer at many others. This opportunity is not only for Filipinos in the Philippines but Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) as well.  If you are interested, here are simple steps on how to apply online! In Demand College Courses Which Only A Few Take Up



Every year, thousands of new graduates add to the number of unemployed in the Philippines. Many of which are being employed in jobs which are not related to the courses. DOLE said that job mismatch is the usual problem while only a few take up the courses which are in great demand for local and overseas employment.

Commission on Higher Education (CHED) said that it is better to know which jobs are needed among the industries where you can land a sure high earning job after completing college.    "There is a mismatch, it has been going on for a long time now... there is domestic demand, there is global demand, and it is a tricky situation sometimes to address all of these simultaneously," said CHED OIC Dr. Prospero de Vera.    Among the courses which are in demand for employment here and abroad are metallurgical engineers, environmental engineers, at sanitation engineers as well as dentistry and graphics animation.     Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) also said that jobs which are in demand today are construction related skills such as welder, plumber, electrician, and construction worker for "Build, Build, Build" projects of the government.    There is also a great demand for workers in the agriculture sector according to Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
