This is a good news to Filipinos who want to work in Japan. Hundreds of jobs are up for grabs in Japan, especially for Filipinos. But you can only apply for these jobs through Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) and not in recruitment agencies so beware of illegal recruitment.

According to POEA, Japan International Corporation of Welfare Services (JICWELS) is looking for 150 nurses and 720 care-workers. Nurses are guaranteed P78,000 salary per month while P73,000 per month for care-workers.

- Anyone can apply as long as they have a certificate from caregiving training from Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
Applicants for both jobs need to undergo six-month language training which is a pre-requisite for national license exam in Japan. But POEA Deputy Administrator Jocelyn Sanchez assures the applicants that the training is free and with allowance.
Sanchez advised applicants to finish the training because in the end when they passed the exam they will be rewarded with big salaries. She added that this is a government-to-government program where applicants can be sure of trusted employers.
For those who are willing, the application will be accepted until June 1 in POEA Regional Offices in your area while June 4 on POEA Central Office.
Meanwhile, 80 female factory machine operators are also needed in Taiwan. This is another government-to-government program with NXP Semiconductors Taiwan Ltd.
Salary is around P36,000 and applicants may apply provided that they finished two-years in college.
