Sa ilang katao na natest na ay may 8 na mga participants ang may lumabas na magandang resulta, at may nakitang neutralizing antibodies sa kanilang katawan. Ibig sabihin, gumagawa mismo ang kanilang katawan ng mga mga anti bodies sa tulong ng vaccine na nilalabanan ang corona virus, at nananatiling safe ang mga naturukan ng vaccine na ito. Sa pag-aaral pa ng Moderna, na ginamitan ng daga o mice, pagkatapos naturukan ng vaccine, napag-alaman na hindi tinatamaan ng corona virus ang daga na may vaccine.

U.S. researchers administered the first shot to the first person in a test of an experimental coronavirus vaccine. With a careful jab on a healthy volunteer's arm, scientists at the Kaiser Permanente Washington Research Institute began an anxiously-awaited first-stage study of a potential COVID-19 vaccine. Even if the research goes well, a vaccine wouldn't be available for widely use for 12-18 months, according to the U.S. National Institutes of Health. The trial vaccine, code-named mRNA-1273, was developed by the NIH and Massachusetts-based biotechnology company Moderna Inc. There are no chance participants can get infected from the shots because they don't contain the coronavirus itself. Kaiser Permanente screened dozens of people, looking for those who have no chronic health problems and aren't currently sick. Participants are paid 100 U.S. dollars for each clinic visit during the study.

In early January, authorities in the Chinese city of Wuhan were trying to keep news of a new coronavirus under wraps. When one doctor tried to warn fellow medics about the outbreak, the police paid him a visit and told him to stop. A month later he has been hailed as a hero after he posted his story from a hospital bed.
Dr. Li was working at the center of the outbreak in December when he noticed seven cases of a virus that he thought looked like Sars - the virus that led to a global epidemic in 2003. The cases were thought to come from the Huanan Seafood market in Wuhan and the patients were in quarantine in his hospital.

A Filipino seafarer onboard a cruise ship in Japan was among the 10 people who tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Of the 10 infected people, 3 are Japanese, 3 are Chinese, two are Australians, one is a Filipino and another is an American, according to Carnival Japan Inc., the operator of the Diamond Princess.
None are showing severe symptoms, and some have no symptoms at all, the ministry said. They were all hospitalized to prevent infections from spreading further.

The Philippine Embassy in Tokyo is closely and actively monitoring the welfare of Filipinos onboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship, which is currently docked off the port of Yokohama, Japan under a quarantine implemented by the Japanese Government.

The cruise ship was quarantined when one of the passengers tested positive for the novel corona virus (nCoV).

As of this time, 10 persons onboard the cruise ship, including one Filipino, have tested positive for the virus and will be transferred to a healthcare facility. The other passengers have been asked to remain onboard the ship for the required 14-day quarantine period.

There are 538 Filipinos onboard the ship.

The Embassy is in constant communication with the Filipinos remaining onboard and is closely coordinating with Japanese authorities to provide them all possible assistance. END

Thieves Oil: Can It Protect Us From Deadly Viruses and Bacteria?

You probably heard or read of bubonic plague or black plague in world history class. It has been considered as one of the most pandemic plague that killed millions of people in Europe. It was estimated to have caused the death of 75 to 200 million people in Europe and Asia and it wiped off  30%- 60% of the population of Europe in  1300.  
The cause of the death plague, bacteria called Yersinia pestis.  
 The story became more interesting when four French thieves who are notorious in robbing the dead or people infected with the plague but they never became infected. They touched the sick and dead people who were highly contagious but they never got sick.  It turned out they doused themselves with a concoction of oils, botanicals and vinegar to protect themselves from being infected. Eucalyptus oil- It can be used to relieve fever, nasal congestion, asthma, it helps calm cough. It is a purifying agent and has anti-bacterial properties. It supports the health of the respiratory system. 

Lemon oil- It has detoxifying, antiseptic, disinfectant and anti-fungal properties. You can use lemon essential oil to sanitize wound as it has anti-bacterial properties. It activates white blood cells and stimulates the immune system. It also enhances the absorption of essential oils through the skin.

 Here is a recipe you can follow to make your own thieves oil. 

40 Drops of Clove Oil
35 Drops Lemon Oil or Orange Oil
20 Drops Cinnamon Oil
15 Drops Eucalyptus Oil
10 Drops Rosemary Oil

Mix these oils in a dark bottle and store in a cool place. If you are diffusing, use 3-5 drops of pure thieves oil. Dilute depending on how you intend to use it. 

Dilution guide: 

For oil diffuser/ humidifier: 3-5 drops diffuse in your room for 30 minutes. Diffusing can also help if you have a stuffy nose. 

Sanitizer: 15 drops thieves oil per 30 ml of coconut oil, or other carrier oil like almond oil, olive oil, argan oil.  You can use this as a sanitizer, and as a rub on hands, feet, and at the back of your ears especially when you are feeling unwell due to cold, or flu. 

Spray mist to purify air in case you have no oil diffuser: 10-15 drops of pure thieves oil per ounce or for every 30 ml of water. 

All-purpose cleaner: 2% thieves oil diluted to water. Example: 2ml thieves oil to 98ml of water. Shake each time you use it. Spray on doorknobs, countertops and other surfaces that need cleaning, then wipe dry.

You can also use thieves oil as mouth wash. A lot of people are claiming it helps soothe a sore throat, but again, please exercise caution because you have to dilute this oil. Please also observe for any possible allergy.

Essential oils can be harmful to pets. Please exercise caution if you have pets at home. Never diffuse thieves oil in a room where your pet is.

11 to 13 Possible Corona Virus Case Under Observation in the Philippines

27 persons in the Philippines are under observation/investigation for possible novel coronavirus, according to DOH Usec Eric Domingo as of 1:30 p.m. All have travel history to Wuhan City, China.


The Philippines is investigating 13 potential cases of a deadly respiratory virus that has infected thousands in China, the Department of Health said Monday. Secretary of Health Duque said 4 of them went negative and no need for confirmation.

Many people are on a panic regarding a new strain of corona virus that emerged in Wuhan China around December 2019. This virus has been known to many as Wuhan virus. The Wuhan virus, that has currently recorded 1,354 confirmed cases of which 41 died, is more contagious compared to other strains of Corona virus like MERS, and SARS.

Use mask to protect yourself and also when you are feeling unwell to protect others.
