“We are on the brink of war with the U.S., " says North Korea
In an interview with CBS News’ Ben Tracy, one of the North Korea's senior officials has accused the Trump administration of wanting to “annihilate” his country, blaming the developing tension on the Korean Peninsula on the U.S. and South Korea.
With the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier in the middle, a strike group of the U.S. Navy, is on its way toward the peninsula as the region is about to conduct its expected sixth nuclear test.
As a Satellite analysis suggests, Kim Jong Un's regime is “primed and ready” to conduct an underground nuclear test , and they’ll do it this weekend coinciding with a major national holiday.North Korea’s Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Han Song Ryol said the situation between the U.S. and North Korea is the worst it has ever been, and his country is willing and ready to fight a war if provoked by the U.S. He also said that North Korea’s nuclear program is non-negotiable.
“In one word, Trump is openly pursuing a policy to annihilate North Korea by force of arms,” Han allegedly said.
“If the U.S. comes up with a dangerous military option, then the first card is in our hands. We’ll deal with it with our pre-emptive strike. This means war,” Han said.
Tracy clarifies what Han said by asking; “So you are saying if you feel North Korea is going to be attacked, you will use nuclear weapons?”
Han replied: “Of course.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin remains on a neutral side amid the rising conflict between U.S. na North Korea., asking both parties to calm down. The Chinese government also said that there will be no winner if the conflict will come to an uncontrollable situation.
“Once a war really happens, the result will be nothing but multiple-loss. No one can become a winner,” Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said.
“No matter who it is, if it wants to make war or trouble on the Korean Peninsula, it must take the historical responsibility and pay the due price,” the minister added.
