Eastern Province To Have a Consulate in Three Months- Duterte



President Duterte's visit to Saudi Arabia has brought  a brand new hope for the OFWs working at the  Eastern Province. For a very long time, the burden of travelling a long way just to reach the embassy in Riyadh will finally come to an end. President rodrigo Duterte has promised to give them a Consulate or Phil Embassy Extension Office in three months. An OFW will have to travel 400 kilometers from Al Khobar to Riyadh to reach the embassy which cost them time and money. If they could have their own consulate as promised by the president, it will make the lives of OFWs in the Eastern Region easier. The president's concern about the OFWs has always been a highlight as he speak in front of the Filipino communities abroad. The President reiterated that he will make everything easy for the OFWs. A separate Department for the OFWs and Seafarers are on the way, even the pRC Licensure examination will be brought within their reach through DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello III.
