SALARY INCREASE FOR KSA,UAE,KUWAIT,BAHRAIN, OMAN AND QATAR THIS 2017

This is a good news to all Overseas Filipino Workers in the Middle East working in GCC region.This is according to the result of the GCC-wide  survey conducted by Aeon Hewitt,a global recruitment company.

A higher salary increase is still on the cards for some employees in theUAE next year, although oil prices are falling. 4.6% annual increase predicted for 2017. Saudi, Kuwait and Lebanon predicted to have biggest salary increases at nearly 5%.

According to the latest GCC Salary Increase Survey,salaries have been influenced by fluctuating oil prices and states' initiative to diversify national economies.Moreover,the impact of lower oil prices and reduced public spending doesnt affect the salary increase as the GDP growth is expected to climb in 2017 across the region up to 3.3% from 3% last year.

The projected salary increase for 2017 is shown below:






Yasmeena, an expatriate who has been in Dubai for more than five years, said she does not expect any pay adjustments next year, especially since her company’s finances aren’t in great shape.
“The last salary increase I received was a long time ago, back in 2013. I don’t expect any change next year because there is no revenue in the company where I work and the economy is struggling nowadays,” she said.

Meanwhile,the GCC Salary Increase Survey has forecast that salary increase in Qatar will average 4.5% in 2017, a significant increase from this year's rise of 3.6%.
Oman's outlook for 2017 also shows a marked increase from its latest 4.2 percent increase noted in 2016.

Kuwait-based organisations have estimated salaries to rise by 4.8 percent in 2017, a significant increase from this year's 4.3 percent climb although down from a 5.1 percent increase in 2015.
