BINAY, POE and ROXAS SPENT BILLIONS IN TV ADS, DUTERTE, ONLY P257MILLIONS?

Duterte

Even as he flip-flopped on whether to run for the highest post in the land, Duterte began spending on TV ads in March 2015, releasing P11.9 million for that month alone. He continued to advertise every month until June 2015, when his spending spiked at P69.1 million, before he took a break.

He began spending again for TV ads in December – P4.03 million. By that time, two Social Weather Stations (SWS) pre-election surveys had already come out, with him coming in fourth in terms of voter preference in the survey conducted from September 2 to 5, 2015. And suddenly he was first in the November 26 to 28, 2015 survey.

It's notable that he resumed spending for TV ads after he cursed Pope Francis for causing traffic during his visit to the Philippines in January 2015.

Duterte continued to spend monthly until March, simultaneous to the time when he was not faring well in the survey. He was fourth in the pre-election poll conducted from December 12 to 14, 2015 and in the poll conducted from January 8 to 10, 2016.

By the time the survey conducted from February 5 to 7, 2016 came out, he was tied in second place, but in the March 4 to 7, 2016 poll, he was again in fourth place. His spending on TV ads was a far cry from the hundreds of millions his rivals spent – P257.4 million, or the equivalent of 8,895 seconds of airtime.

Binay

Binay jumped into the fray in May 2015, spending P72.2 million to dwarf Duterte’s spending for the same month – P17.6 million. The vice president continued to advertise on TV until March 2016, only skipping July and August 2015.

The millions he poured into the TV ads seemed to work, as his standing in the SWS surveys only shifted between first and second place. He was second in the September survey, the November survey, and the March survey. He was first in the December survey, in the January survey, and in the February survey. His TV spending peaked in January 2016 at P355.5 million. In total, he spent P1.4 billion from May 2015 to March 2016, the equivalent of 62,640 seconds of airtime.

Roxas

Roxas began placing TV ads in August 2015, spending 130.3 million and becoming the first candidate to spend more than P100 million in one month. He continued to spend monthly until March 2016.

Unfortunately, this did nothing to better his standing in the pre-election survey, as he was consistently in third place from September to March, except for December, where he was in second place.

His spending peaked in January at P270 million.
Poe

Like Roxas, Poe started placing TV ads in August 2015, at P49.7 million, less than half of what the former spent. She immediately made up for it, however, by being the top spender in September 2015, doling out P100.3 million. She continued to spend monthly until March 2016, spending the biggest amount after the Christmas break, at P228.6 million.

Just as she was consistent in spending for TV ads, she was also consistent in her positive ranking in the pre-election surveys. She was either in first or second place from September to March. In total, she spent P1.09 billion on TV ads from August 2015 to March 2016.
Santiago

Despite consistently being in the bottom of the pre-election surveys from September to March, Santiago only began to try to remedy her standing by placing TV ads in February 2016. Then she paid out a relatively modest P15 million. In March 2016, she spent P25.3 million.

She was the only candidate who began placing TV ads only after the filing of certificates of candidacy in October 2015.

Combined, all candidates have spent more on TV ads in the first three months of 2016 than the entire 2015 – at P1.97 billion and P1.88 billion, respectively.

Señeres Gives 3 Conditions For Duterte To Be His Substitute Candidate

OFW Family Party List Representative Roy Señeres said today that he is open to the possibility that Mayor Duterte would substitute him as the Presidential candidate. However, he mentioned 3 conditions must be met.

In order for this substitution to happen in case the conditions set by Señeres are met, according to the Commission on Elections, the substitute candidate, and the one withdrawing from Presidential bid should come from the same party or coalition. In line with this Señeres added “He (Duterte) could swear an oath of allegiance to the FPP. As a member, he could run for any position he pleases. No one’s stopping him from switching parties”.

Few days ago, he had a radio interview where he also said that they (Duterte and Señeres) should talk regarding supporting each other and he explained why he believes Sen. Grace Poe should be allowed to run.

One commenter said:
"geeeeee Every moment He opens his mouth and utter things that are far different from what I'm hearing from other presidential candidates, my mind is excited to what awaits us if he held power. I could imagine the Philippines spearheading other Asian Countries. Decentralization of the Emperial Manila's power will benefit the rest of the remaining islands which most of the income is coming from.In a different perspective, turning the system upside down will reveal the beauty and real image of the oppressed people. Lifting them up will show a different side of the Philippines. after all, they/we are really the source of the power and it is just right that we should be on top."

RUDY DUTERTE IS RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES

WATCH: Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte finally said his candidacy for president is already "on the table," following SET's decision on Sen. Grace Poe's citizenship. #Halalan2016Read the full story here: http://bit.ly/1PGhn4A

I am a pro-Duterte OFW, and the news brought joy to me personally that he has finally announced running for president.  In an event in Cavite, saying that he could not allow someone who only possess “presumptive Filipino citizenship” to run for president of the country, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte last night told former schoolmates from the San Beda College of Law and supporters that he was going to run for the country’s top position in the May 2016 national elections.

Read here via ABS-CBN

"After months of giving mixed signals about his presidential bid, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte on Saturday said he is finally going to run for the country's top post.
During a private party in Dasmariñas, Cavite, the feisty mayor said he decided to join the 2016 race after the Senate Electoral Tribunal (SET) voted against petitions to disqualify Grace Poe on the grounds of her citizenship.
"What made me decide to run? Was it an offer for money? No. Gusto ko lang sabihin sa lahat stop (expletive) with the Philippines. Nothing against Grace but if you run for the highest post in the land, it must be reserved for a true-blue Filipino,'' Duterte said.
"If ever you make it, you will be a presumptive president by citizenship. Hindi ko matanggap yung ganun. What will happen when she is disqualified because she is American? Give me an Igorot, an Aeta, a plumber. Kahit ano basta Pilipino. It is a matter of principle. Pagka ganun my candidacy for the presidency is on the table."
Before ending his speech, he challenged Poe to produce her birth mother to prove that she is Filipino.
"If she can prove she is Filipino then I will step down. I will be her (Poe) campaign manager."
Duterte arrived at the party with Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, who is running for vice president and has been rooting for a tandem with the Davao City mayor.
Duterte added that he is also in Luzon to seek the blessing of his partymates from the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban)."

Mayor Rodrigo Duterte to Launch Presidential Bid on Saturday?

Walang pera or funds if you run with Duterte unlike other parties pero people will vote for him not because of money or machinery but because they believe in him, as hope para maging maunlad ang ating bansa and thats what real democracy is.

He has Davao as proof of his good leadership capability. While others are still, only making promises or has not proven much. A president is elected because people love him and supports him and believe in him and will help him.

I am calling for an "OFW Revolution", nasubukan na natin ang EDSA Revolution, try naman natin ang "OFW Revolution" where OFWs and their families will support candidates that are pro-OFWs and we believe can transform our country like the many countries we are working right now.

Paano ba siya mananalo without machinery and money?

Mindanao will all go for him. The Muslims and the Lumads ay mataas ang respeto sa kanya. Cebu, Negros Oriental and Bohol and other bisaya speaking region will also go for him. If he gets B.Marcos as his VP, he will take Tacloban, Leyte and other regions by the Romualdez, plus a "Solid North" Ilocano Region of Bongbong Marcos.

Pero if OFWs, each of the half, 5 Million out of the 10Million OFWs and Expats will require at least, 2 members of their registered voter family member to vote for DUTERTE, he will have atleast 10MILLION VOTES.

ON ANOTHER NEWS:

SUPPORTERS of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is expecting him to announce that he is changing his mind and will heed the call for him to run for President.
“All roads are leading to Davao this Saturday. We expect him to heed the people’s clamor and run, nothing else,” said lawyer Emily Padilla, core member of the Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte National Executive Coordinating Committee (MRRDNEC) that launched the Run Duterte Run Movement and Duterte for President Caravan.
When asked about the possibility that Duterte might actually announce the opposite like what he did in his news conference last September 7, Padilla replied, “We don’t entertain that thought.”
Padilla told The Manila Times that once he declares his presidential bid, Duterte will face another dilemma–who to choose as his running mate.
She said the mayor is torn between Senators Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Alan Peter Cayetano.
Both had declared their intention to run for Vice President and expressed their preference for Duterte to be their running mate.
“Yes, there are supporters who are for Cayetano but there are many who want Marcos. If it comes to that, of choosing who’s who, Mayor Duterte will have the final say,” Padilla said.
“Whatever his decision will be, we will follow and support,” she added.

Cayetano, who was initially being pushed by House Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr. to be Liberal Party standard-bearer Manuel “Mar” Roxas 2nd’s running mate, made his announcement in Duterte’s bailiwick of Davao apparently to “jump the gun” on Duterte to take him in as the latter’s running mate.
But the move did not sit well with a huge number of Duterte followers who are actually pushing for a Duterte-Marcos team-up.
Marcos announced his own intention earlier this week, which came as a big surprise even to his own family since he was expected to seek the presidency.
“MRRDNECC and PDP-Laban will support anyone of them who is advocating federalism and who believes in the principles, vision and platform of government of Mayor Duterte.
The criteria will also cover those who wish to run for the Senate with Mayor Duterte as their President,” Padilla said. -Source: Manila Times

Another developing News:

Mayor Rodrigo Duterte held a meeting with his close allies and political advisers and drew a “Dream Team” of senatorial candidates.
Former North Cotabato governor Emmanuel Piñol said on Thursday that they were expecting Duterte to make an announcement on his presidential bid anytime, possibly by the weekend.
Those included in Duterte’s “Dream Team” – which was decided upon during a meeting from Wednesday evening to early Thursday – were veteran lawmakers Serge Osmeña and Panfilo Lacson; Sarangani Representative Manny Pacquiao; Leyte Representative Martin Romualdez; ACT-CIS Representative Samuel Pagdilao; Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno; and former Senator Miguel Zubiri. (Duterte also included  Las Piñas Rep. Mark Villar but there were reports from the House of Representatives that the son of property tycoon and former senator Manny Villar has decided not to run.)

HIS MANSION DONATED FOR NOBLE CAUSE

In a report: "He also admitted he has a mansion in Margarita Village in Bajada that he has donated for use by children with cancer and their families. Duterte has assisted the establishment of the Kids of Hope that attends to children with cancer in a special ward inside the SPMC.
While some  patients come only for check-up and medication, many stay in the ward for long. The long stay causes inconvenience to family members attending to the patients as the SPMC has no sleeping quarters or other provisions for them.
This prompted him out of pity to donate the Margarita property to SPMC specifically to be used for the young cancer victims.
The house now serves as temporary home for the children and those attending to them while the patients are on the recovery period, said Duterte who adds that many of the families with cancer patients at SPMC  are indigents from the nearby provinces and have no home in the city.
Duterte said the Margarita house now serves as an extension of the cancer ward at SPMC where children who lost their limbs practice their newly-installed prosthetics.
Duterte said the house he bought at less than a million pesos years ago is now the property of the SPMC. I have already told my children that the property no longer belongs to us, he said."
