This has to be a lesson to everyone: Do not trust anyone you only met on the internet!
A tragic fate happened to an OFW when she learned that the boyfriend she met on social media is not who he said he was.
The suspect who killed an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) and left the body in a motel in Daet, Camarines Norte surrendered to the police.
According to Cesar Sullivan Jr., 48, he only defended himself from the victim, Sarah Mae Cabatingan, 32, who according to him, attempted to stab him.
According to the suspect, the OFW cannot accept the fact that her boyfriend is already married and has six children. The victim then tried to attack the suspect with a knife. They struggled until the suspect stabbed the OFW multiple times that killed her on the spot.
Investigation results reveal that the two came to know each other thru the social media site Facebook.
Cabatingan hails from Davao Del Sur and working as an OFW in Saudi Arabia. The suspect used a different name and disguised himself as an army officer. They get along with each other to the point that the suspect even offered to marry the victim.

On a Friday, the victim went to Camarines Norte to meet the guy. They checked-in to a motel in Daet together. The hotel staff said that the suspect asked for an extension after 2 hours. They knocked the room the next day but nobody answers. That's when they decided to open the room.
The motel staff noticed that the blanket was missing so they look for it first. To their surprise, they found the body of the victim under the bed covered with the missing blanket.
The suspect asks for forgiveness to the bereaved family of the OFW and to the victim's only child.
