A 30-year-old Filipino woman was pronounced dead on at Kwong Wah Hospital after several revival attempts.
She was believed to have lost her balanced while cleaning glass windows on the 7th floor of the Mong Kok flat on May 17 at around 10 in the evening.
The firefighters and the police immediately responded to the scene and found the Filipina lying unconscious on the canopy located at the second floor of the flat located at 179 Tung Choi Street.
She was sent to Kwong Wah Hospital, where resuscitation efforts failed, and she was declared dead.
A Palestinian man who believed to be her boyfriend who accompanied the paramedics was sobbing and deeply upset. When he learned about the accident, he tried to retrieve and rescue her by trying to reached the canopy where she landed unconscious.
Investigations does not show any signs of foul play. The Filipina was believed to have lost her balance and slipped off the window which she was cleaning.
Reports show that falling from a window while cleaning already had been a cause of death for a number of people in Hong Kong, particularly the domestic workers.
