Viral Pissing Cop: "He was just washing his hands."-- Photographer

A viral photo of a police officer who appears to be pissing in public that is making rounds on social media being said to be misinterpreted by the netizen. The photographer who snapped the photo finally broke his silence to reveal the whole truth behind the viral photo.

On the ABS-CBN News interview, National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director Oscar Albayalde showed a photo of the alleged "pissing cop" and said that they will subject it for investigation and if proven, the police personnel will face the consequences of his action.

Southern Police District (SPD) Director Tomas Apolinario said that the cop was more likely appearing to be just washing his hands. He added that it is so vulgar to a police personnel to be pissing on the street where everybody can see him.

The photographer was surprised to see the photo circulates on the social media with a different context and interpretation. And just recently, a group from Cebu has posted the photo they claim to be their original shot and that they captured the exact moment where the cop was taking a piss publicly. LTO Chief Ed Galvante said, LTO started the renewal of driver's license with a validity of 5 years since last year but due to the delay of the supply of the plastic cards, they are only able to issue receipts. The LTO is optimistic that the plastic cards will be available on the said month.
