REWARD MONEY FOR REPORTING ILLEGAL RECRUITERS
The Department of Labor and Employment issued an statement that any citizen who can give information that will lead to the arrest of illegal recruiters will receive a reward money amounting to Php50,000.
DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello III disclosed that some private companies are willing to provide the reward money to the concerned citizens who will help the government in combating the widespread of illegal recruitment activities in the country.
DOLE announced the launched of their official hotline.The hotline will accept complaints about age discrimination,endo or contractualization and of course,illegal recruitment.
"You can call us for anything. Pwedeng problema, pwedeng suggestion, pwedeng proposal, lalung-lalo na affecting yung mga salaries ng mga empleyado, yung mga kalagayan ng ating mga kababayan na migrant workers; yung mga underpaid na mga empleyado; yung meron kayong nalalaman na katiwalian na nangyayari dito sa aming departamento, tumawag po kayo sa 1349,"Secretary Bello said.
Bello cleared that the Php50,000 reward money is an initiative from the association of recruitment agencies and will not come from the government funds.

The government,particularly POEA and DOLE are now into intensive campaigns and strong implementation of existing laws against illegal recruitment and human trafficking taking advantage and victimizing Filipinos who want to work overseas and OFWs.
Allowing the citizens to provide leads on illegal recruiters will not only help them exercise their duty as a vigilant citizen but they can also earn something for some good deeds.
