177 INDONESIAN NATIONALS USING PHILIPPINE PASSPORTS ARRESTED AT THE NAIA

177 Indonesian Nationals has been arrested at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport posing as Filipinos .The immigration authorities found them to be holding fake Philippine passports and pretending to be Filipinos but their true identity was revealed as they cannot speak local languages and can only communicate in english.This confirmed the immigration officers suspicion and prompted them to arrest the "fake Pinoys".

The Indonesians were about to board Philippine Airlines Flight PR8689 at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 going to Madinah,Saudi Arabia for the Hajj Pilgrimage.According to reports,the immigration officers arrested 185 passengers,8 of which are real Filipinos accompanying the arrested Indonesians.

The alleged fake passports are said to be provided by their Pinoy escorts who organized the pilgrimage for them and collected around $6,000 to $10,000 each.The reason is that there are no more slots for the Indonesian pilgrims at the Hajj and so they are going to use the slots reserved for the Filipino Hajj pilgrims.
