Do You Know Why Dubai Policemen Are Driving Luxury Cars?

The Middle East countries are know to be a hub of many luxury cars. Driving on the streets, you might have difficulty keeping track of the number of sports cars passing by. Eventually if you live here, sports cars become sort of ordinary scene on the streets. Include also those badass motorcycles and convertible cars they drive, I sometimes wonder if they don't ever feel uncomfortable with the humidity and scorching heat specially during summer.

But there is one thing more interesting than that, they have jaw-dropping police cars in Dubai. Yes, policemen drive luxury cars in the city of Dubai, and it is not just your ordinary sports car, these are the top of the collection. You name it, Mercedes SLS, Ferrari FF and Lamborghini Aventador, Bugatti Veyron, Aston Martin One, Bentley Continental GT, Mercedes-Benz Brabus G 700, Audi R8 V10. These are only some of the luxury cars that 15,000 Dubai Policemen use to drive.

Are you now thinking of getting that job? Or probably you want to get arrested already so you could have a ride in one of these cool cars.

Police officer Matar usually is cruising the streets of Downtown behind the wheel of an Aston Martin One-77 or Bentley Continental GT, said, “One tourist even came over to me and asked me to handcuff him and put him in the car – he was laughing, saying ‘please, I want to have a trip in a Bugatti”.

Many tourists are also asking to have their pictures taken beside these cars.

If you are wondering why Dubai Policemen have to drive luxury cars, the officer said “The concept of having such luxury cars as police cars has helped Dubai’s reputation. When you have the tallest tower in the world, then you need to have super cars in the city too.”

Up to date, non- of these super fast cars had been involved in a high speed pursuit yet. Who would dare to be chased by any of these?

“We will have more cars joining the fleet, but it will be a surprise for everyone”, Mattar added.
