Be Inspired: Woman Without Arms, Makes A Living By Knitting Using Her Feet

What would be your excuse for not being productive in spite of having complete limbs? Lack of adequate opportunities or lack of motivation to do it? A hispanic woman by the name Elda had a accident that caused her to lose both her arms and had decided to give up her hobby— crocheting. Out of deep sadness, she picked up her crochet kit and started doing it with her feet. It was difficult at the beginning but through constant practice and growing passion within her, she eventually succeeded doing it and she is now very hapy about it. Sponsored Links For people like Elda, handicap will never hinder them to such thing which may seem to be impossible to others. In her own way, she managed to win her hobby again and now bringing her great joy and fulfillment. Her life doesn't only serves as another amazing story but an inspiration to people who had already lost their hope and motivation to go on with life, ending up living a miserable life when in fact they can have better opportunities. Elda has lost very important parts of her body but she never lost her spirit and will to move and go on with life. Now she is enjoying it and the works of her feet continue to inspire people in different walks of life. Just like the message Elda wants to impart: " Aunque la vida te sea difícil nunca dejes de luchar." Translated in English as: "Although life is difficult for you, never stop fighting". Motivating Motivation

“People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing that's why we recommend it daily” – Zig Ziglar

My wife printed that quote and posted it in our bathroom for more than a couple of years ago, and every time I took my shower, I can read that quote.

Below is the introduction to the book I was reading a few weeks ago entitled, 101 Motivational Quotes by Steven Grabek. I have a passion of reading books and among my list are Man's Search for Meaning by Victor Frankl, The Children of Hurin, Awaken the Giant Within by Anthony Robbins, and a few from Peter Drucker. I don't know how to finish them all aside from the online studies and trainings, so I need some motivation, kasi as mentioned nga sa itaas, like paliligo, it should be daily also.

"By definition motivation means that which motivates, that which makes us take action towards our desired goals and which gives purpose and direction to those actions. Now we all know that very often we lose our motivation and we allow procrastination to dominate our life. With out our motivation we stop taking action and doing the things we really want to do, we stop achieving the things we really want to achieve and we stop believing we are capable of becoming who ever we want to be.

The secret to beating procrastination is that we need to keep motivated. Every day we must do something, anything that gets us motivated, whether it’s listening to your favourite song, going for that morning run or simply reading some quotes. Every day we must motivate ourselves because when we are motivated we have energy, we have ideas and we have dreams and we pursue those dreams with our unbounded faith that we will achieve them and more."

Whatever you do in life, just do your best.
Thats my motto ever since I was high school, and that is still true even now.

I fail, and yes, oh, I failed a lot, so many times, and yet many times, I too got up, stand up, wipe away the tears, and move on. Life is too precious to be miserable. When we truly understand the purpose of why we are here, why we are working here, and why are we doing this and that, then, we have a sound disposition and we will do good in whatever we do. That I believe. In three words, they call it, A SENSE OF PURPOSE. Wow, my counting skill is diminishing, that's not 3 words, but 4. Haha.
Anyway, there are also times that we won't understand why we do things, and why we are motivated to do this and that as well, just let it be because that is what we call

FAITH.(or love or passion..?)

And faith is doing something and believing something even though you don't understand and you don't see.

Well, that's another topic.

Starve the Problems, Feed the Opportunities

“Starve the Problems and Feed the Opportunities” - Peter Drucker

"Effective people are not problem-minded; they’re opportunity minded. They feed opportunities and starve problems." - Dr. Stephen Covey

I simply love this quote that I printed it in big paper a long time ago

and posted it in the wall of my room.

Do we focus on our problems or our opportunities in life?

Most of the time in our lives we focus too much on our problems in life, as well as focusing too much on the past. We should remember that there not much to be gained from looking backwards instead of forwards.

No, don't get me wrong, I am not trying to discount the rich lessons we can gained from our past experiences and failings but what I am trying to say is, its time to move on.

Do you feed your problems in life?

Kung sa tagalog pa, ginagatungan pa ba natin ang naglalagabgab (now I am not sure if that word is right, lol) at to borrow the word of Hulascoop, masalimuot na buhay?

Are we too absorb by every minor and major problems that confronts us day in and day out? Are we too preoocupied by the challenges and seemingly insurmountable trials and problems that besets us? As a person, do we focus and even magnified our afflictions and infirmities in life?

WE SHOULD START TO EXAMINE OURSELVES.

DO NOT FOCUS ON THE PROBLEMS OR YOU WILL BE MISERABLE.

I AM NOT KIDDING.

NO ONE SAYS, WALLOW IN SELF-PITY AND YOU'LL LIVE.

OFTEN, when we are down, and we don't get up, we don't have the courage to stand and fight anymore. Thus, we end up losing the game. Losing is fine if we give our best, but if we lose because we did nothing, that's what we call, LOUSINESS.

"Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all."

Life has so many issues, but focus on the most trivial and important things rather than the not worth dealing with.

STARVE THE PROBLEMS.

(pasensiya na, gutom na ako kaya I am ranting about anything here, hehe)

DO YOU FEED OPPORTUNITIES?

Do we grab every good offers, every open opportunity for advancement, for learning, for discovering something about ourselves, about the world we live, about the work we are in?

We live in a world with stiff competition, and with tremendous outpouring of knowledge and information in the web.

Do we take advantage of every good things, of every opportunities?

I encourage all to do so.

The largest problem with focusing on problems is the distraction from concentrating on the current opportunities.

Simply put,

Starve the problems and they die.

Feed the opportunities and they flourish and live.
