  • Ship Masters - P99,000 a month
  • Chief Engineers - P96,000 a month
  • Chief Officers - 92,000 a month
  • Nurses with 5 or more experience - P80,000

According to WorkAbroad.ph senior marketing manager Rowena Cielo Sonza, aspirants can also get ahead of the competition by getting the necessary work experience in the Philippines before applying for jobs abroad. This is because overseas jobs require experience.



Top Countries for Deployment

On the other hand, Saudi Arabia still on the number list as top employer or destination for OFWs. Last year, more than 60,000 OFWs deployed in Saudi Arabia or around 54% of total deployment.

Here are the top 10 countries in terms of available jobs for OFWs last year:

1. Saudi Arabia - 61,534

2. Qatar 16,083

Top 10 Highest Paying Jobs For 2017 Graduates

A job with a good salary is hard to find especially for fresh graduates in the Philippines. Plus if your field of study or course is not related to the available job but you need to earn, you end up underemployed.  That is why for college freshmen, it is important to choose a course that is in demand or will be in-demand few years later so that when you graduate, you will have a big chance to be employed based on what you learned.

This year, job employment site, Jobstreet released its 2017 Fresh Graduates Report regarding Top 10 best paying jobs in the Philippines.

According to Jobstreet Philippines country manager Philip Gioca, the report is based on the unique jobs published on Jobstreet from September to December 2016 and on a survey sent out to employers on fresh graduate hiring preferences.

  



According to the report, the following are the highest paying jobs for fresh graduates, based on the average salaries given:

1. Law/legal services – P27,124
2. Healthcare-related – P23,216 
3. Journalism – P21,777 
4. IT-related – P21,703 
5. Education – P21,457 
6. Actuarial science – P21,048 
7. Training and development – P20,838 
8. Banking/financial services – P20,092 
9. Public relations – P20,055 
10. Advertising/media planning – P19,960



Jobstreet added that salaries in law, health care, and journalism continues to increase since 2015, while IT specialist that is frequently in Top 3 decreased in the previous years.



This year, industries that will likely to hire fresh graduates are in;

  • Manufacturing - 33%
  • Healthcare - 26%
  • IT - Software - 22%
A piece of advice. If you are fresh graduates and looking for a job be careful with your attitude and do not ask how much will be your salary. It is because according to Jobstreet your attitude, field of study and asking salary are the top three factors that affect your chance of getting hired for a job. Good Luck!

10 HIGHEST PAID JOBS FOR OFWS & TOP 10 OFWs DESTINATION








High salary is one of the top reasons why many Filipinos are working and want to work abroad.

But do you know what is the highest paying jobs for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) abroad?

According to the Top 10 2016 Salary Report of WorkAbroad.ph, no. 1 in the list are the health care professionals with a monthly average salary of P111, 620 for OFWs.



United Arab Emirates (UEA) Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom give the highest salary for health care professionals especially those who are in pediatrics and obstetrics and gynecology.

In UEA, the highest salary for health care workers is P253, 826.

This is followed by Canada and New Zealand at P172,500 a month

United Kingdom at P153, 333 a month.

Top 2 - OFWs in the field of process design and control and instrumentation with an average monthly salary of PHP87,027.

Top 3 - OFWs in public relation and communication with an average monthly salary of P83,375.

Top 4 - OFWs in aviation and aircraft maintenance with monthly average salary of P81, 149

Top 5 - Law and Legal Services with average monthly salary of P80,000

Top 6 - Education and Training at P62,438

Top 7 - Quality Control at P58, 463

Top 8 - Information technology - related jobs at P 57, 639

Top 9 - Engineering-related jobs - P57, 102

Top 10 - Architecture and interior design - P55, 660

Aside from 10 countries, OFWs are still in-demand in United States, Germany and around the world.

According to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), there are over 2.4 million overseas Filipino workers currently employed in different countries.
