Parents, Advise Your Kids To Be Careful Not To Take Medicine Or Eat Feeding Food Without Your Consent

Parents, advise your children to be cautious with what they eat especially outside your own home without your consent. It also applies with the medicines or any pill that someone is asking them to take. They might hurt them or worst, these foods or medicine/pills would put their lives at risk. Around two hundred pupils from Lawigan, Mati City has been rushed to Davao Oriental Provincial Medical Center. The victims are complaining about dizziness, vomiting and stomach-ache after being given by alleged ferrous sulfate from the Department of Education. Earlier before taking the said vitamins, the school conducted a feeding program for the students. Right after the feeding program, all of the students were asked to take the "ferrous sulfate". That's where they started feeling ill, complaining about stomach-ache, nausea and vomiting which are common signs of food poisoning. The teachers and parents were alarmed prompting them to rush the students to the hospital for immediate treatment. However, the doctor who attended the students seem to rule out food poisoning and said that the students might have taken the ferrous sulfate with an empty stomach, which maybe harmless to adults but could be dangerous to adolescents like these students hence the dizziness, vomiting and stomach-ache manifested. The school administration of Lawigan National High School or the Department of Education (DepEd) are yet to issue any official statement about the incident. May it be a case of food poisoning or negligence on administering  medicine or certain vitamins to the students, the best way is to warn our kids to be cautious of anything they eat. It should be our sole responsibility as parents to warn our children to be extra careful to avoid any harm that might happen to them.
