NO MORE TERMINAL FEE FOR OFWS BY MARCH 2017

Good News to all Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW).

Starting March next year, you will no longer be queuing for a refund of terminal fees.

This news is confirmed by Manila International Airport Authority General Manager Ed Monreal.

The P550 terminal fee, also known as International Passenger Service Charge (IPSC), is included in the airline ticket upon purchased whether in airline ticket offices or bought online.

This was imposed by Aquino administration with the aim to decongest the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) pre-departure areas.

However, OFWs can claim a refund for this terminal fee upon departure at the airport terminals.

Monreal also gives his assurance to refund those who have not been able to get their money as longs as the OFWs possess the e-ticket, boarding pass and passport regardless of the date they were purchased or stamped.

“Anytime they [OFWs] can [ask for the]refund as long as they present the usual requirements,” he added.
