SAMSUNG WASHING MACHINE ARE ALSO "EXPLODING"

In the midst of global recall of 2.5 million Galaxy Note 7 smartphones due to faulty batteries, Samsung has confirmed that certain top-load washing machines may also have a dangerous defect.

There care cases already filed against Samsung for damages and injuries cased by washing machines that "explode" during the cycle in the United States.

According to ABC News, there are 21 comsumers who filed complained to Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) about "exploding" washers.

Consumers describe the explosion as both loud and destructive.

Reports of the problem first surfaced as early as 2014. It Includes washing machine manufactured between March 2011 and April 2016

Due to this, Samsung recommends that owners of top-load washing machine sold within the past five years should check the company website to determine whether their units are affected.

To verify if your unit is involved in this notice, please enter your washing machine's 15-digit serial number in this website and then select "Check".

Samsung also advised owners to use the lower speed delicate cycle when washing bedding, bulky or water-resistant materials

The company also said that if you have affected washing machine, Samsung encourage you to wash all bedding, waterproof, and bulky items on the delicate cycle until solution is announced.
