BIR Reminds Pia Wurtzback To Declare All Her Winnings No Tax Exemption For Her

BIR Commissioner Kim Henares said Pia Wurtzbach, the Miss Universe 2015 must declare all her winnings from the pageant. 

She added there will be no tax exemption for her.

However she said that since Philippines has double taxation treaty with the United States, she has to declare all the prizes she receives from the pageant both 'in cash' and 'in kind'. Then she can deduct from the total tax due the tax that she paid in the United States. Henares added, all should be well documented, and certified true copy. 

Included in the prizes Pia will received as a reigning Miss Universe will be:

-1 year scholarship in New York Film Academy College

- Hair care and skin care products
