SOME (ANIMAL) TIPS

Baka nakita niyo na nga ang mga pictures na ito, pero there are many things we can learn from this animal photos...

And so the Thoughtskoto's decided to share some simple tips sa mga visitors namin.

1. Stay out of Trouble.

Wag lumubog or magtakang sumuot sa drum kung di mo alam kung paano makakaahon, now I am not sure with my Tagalog version, pero sa English, parang ganito yun.

"Don't go down, if you don't know how to get up." Simple lang di ba? Hehe

Tsk tsk, malabo... kayo na bahala.

2. When you are communicating seriously, and sincerely, look the other person or animal in the eye.

They will see the sincerity. Promise. Especially if it is between life and hospital-bone-breaking-hospital-bedridden-or-might-be-death experience.

Ako, whenever I speak or may sasabihin na urgently at talagang importante, I look the person in the eye.

Now figure that out in chatting or calling over the phone.

Look at the screen or cellphone instead... (lols)

3. Exercise to maintain good health. It is the secret to long life.

May kilala ako, naggygym daw siya, buti pa siya may time para maggym.

Maggygym na rin kaya ako.

Gymnastic, that is.

4. Teamwork makes an organization, company and family successful.

Totoo yan, no one is an island. We all need each other here. Any sports team, or any organization, kapag walang harmony and mission and vision, walang mangyayari.

Even our very own self, kapag hindi nagkakatugma ang puso, heart, isip at mind, magulo, parang ako, hilong hilo sa kahahanap ng tao, volunteer at sponsor. hehe

5. Prepare a Shelter for Rainy Days

I wonder what happen, matalino naman ang matsing di ba?

Simple tips lang ang number 5 but with a very profound and different meaning. Shelter could mean a lot of things, house, savings, education, virtues, values, dreams...

6. Friendship is no respecter of person (or animal :)

Have you seen a bird befriend a cat? Or a Black African befriend an Asian, or White American?

Wala yan sa color, sa pinag-aralan, sa status quo, sa backgrounds, or sa language or race.

Friendship for me boils down to one thing.

C-H-A-R-A-C-T-E-R

If the person does have a character that I like and wanted to emulate, if I see goodness in them, I befriend them, because I wanted to be influence by their goodness.

kaya yung mga friend namin dito sa blogosphere, mababait yan...hehe

and hope magpakabait na rin kami...

7. Aim for Greater Heights

Merong mga tao na kuntento na sa buhay. Meron din iba na hindi makuntento sa buhay. I guess for us, we dream for something better. We might be contented sa ngayon, but we never ceases to dream and aim for something better.

Kapag ang isa tao daw, kuntento na, that's the end of everything. I guess people succeed because they keep on aiming for the better, hindi stagnant, kaya hindi nabubulok.

Aim for greater and higher and better things. When you fail, at least you tried. When you succeed, share the blessing to others.

8. Nothing is impossible.

We have some doubts and fears. We do. But we face it with faith in God. Kasi di ba sabi Niya,

"for Him nothing is impossible"

I believe that wholeheartedly.

I subscribe to that belief and for many years have proven that indeed, with Him,

if we do things with Him...

things will just go fine, things will just be fine.

Sounds preachy? hmmmn, I am hungry.

9. Rest and Relax.

Breathe some fresh air. Watch a scenic or breathtaking view, and wonder at the beauty of nature, and the tranquility of the birds flying up above.

Take sometime to enjoy the beauty within us.

When you look at the mirror, don't say, "Yuck!"

You are not helping.

Say, "Wow!"

and feel better. We are all wonderful, unique and special.

Kagaya dito sa blogosphere, I have known many, many people, young and not-so-young with tremendous potential, with so much to offer, pero afraid or ashamed to come out in the open and share and reach limitless abilities and hidden talents.

10. Wear Your Best Smile.

It is the secret of staying and looking young.

Tingnan mo nga tong asong toh, parang puppy pa di ba? kasi nga smile lang ng smile.

Nakakita na kasi ng lalapain eh.

Dear Ate Charo,

 Thank you for considering this letter of mine. I'm writing about Ben.
 We're in our twenties and both work in Makati. In fact, we used to be
  officemates. I've known him for almost two years and all the time, I've
  been in-love with him, although we are just friends and he has a
  girlfriend
  he intends to marry.
 
  Ate Charo, I can't help but fall in love with him. He's perfect! He's
  responsible, intelligent, resourceful, thoughtful, loving, sweet, caring,
  upright, kind, family-oriented, and a God-fearing individual. His good
  looks are just an added bonus. I can't believe such a man still exists
  today and I will forever be thankful for his friendship.

It is a pain to be so in-love with him because he and his girlfriend are
  perfect for each other and are so happy being together. I don't know if
  he's aware of my feelings for him, but winning his heart, I think, is out
  of the question. His girlfriend is too precious for him. Losing her
  would
  truly hurt him, and I don't want to see him in pain. I know,
  however, that a part of me wishes he would reciprocate my love, but he's
  just too good for me. He deserves someone better, like the girl he has
  now.
 
  Knowing he's happy with her is enough consolation for me. I want his
  happiness even if it would mean my own despair. God knows how much I'm
  suffering. Writing this letter alone is already a torture. I've been
  trying very hard to forget him. I've done ways I know to free myself.
  Pero ang kulit talaga ng puso ko, ayaw sumunod. Ate Charo, I haven't seen
  or talked with him for a long time and I thought his absence would somehow
  cool down the feeling, but it hasn't. I don't want to miss him, but I do
  miss him terribly. How can I forget him?

Whenever I see a place, a thing, or a situation, my mind automatically
  associates it with him. His memories occupy most of my waking and
  sleeping
  hours. His face pops into my mind in the middle of my lunch, when I'm
  talking with my friends, cleaning my house, or just doing something which
  has nothing to remind me of him. Odd, but true. I'm not bitter, Ate. I
  don't blame myself, him, nor God for this situation. As a matter of fact,
  I'm thankful. Painfully odd as it is, this situation has made me the
  mature
  person I am now. But I can't help ask myself why should someone fall for

  another when they are not meant for each other? 

Why Ate Charo? 

Why? 

You know Ate, whenever I pray, I always ask God to help me let go of this
  love. I just want to feel the same way he feels for me... as a friend
  and
  nothing more. I know I can get through this because I believe that God
  wouldn't give me something He knows I couldn't handle. Someday I will be
  able to smile again without being hurt when I remember him. God has His
  reason for all of these and until I know the reasons, I want to hear words

Money Falling from the Sky!

We all have dreams and fantasies or have your head in the clouds sometime or another. We fan our excitements by dreaming, we sustain the hope by imagining, we draw inspiration from enchanting stories and make believe fairytales we watched or read. I dreamed to have a modest land and house at the heart of Tagaytay, a black GMC SUV car to drive, and a business that thrives.

Unfortunately it does not come true all at once, or by a wink of an eye.

The faith i have subscribed and the principles I've been taught and learned is to work hard, gain knowledge, love others and rear a family that last for eternity.

And so my dream began...

I dreamed that bundles of hundred dollar bills falls from the sky right in front of me while walking.

What currency? My goodness, I am dreaming, do you really need to ask that?  It doesn't matter, as long as it's not fake. (lol)

Anyway, back to my dream. Yes, a bundle of hundreds of dollar bills from up above. I was thinking what goodness have I done to deserved this, but I am indeed grateful. I am not really selfish but since it's my dream, can we pretend that in this case, Nebz and Ed of Sandbox, and even Ever and Jhay was not around when this bundle of money falls because we share the same cloud-free sky here in Saudi or Ever's nearby country of Kuwait! (hehe, balatohan ko na lang kayo). Can we just pretend that in this dream, it's just me and no one is around? Thank you. :) 

Now the challenge is how to keep this money. You cannot deposit them all in Enjaz or Al Rahji because of some anti-terrorism measure. A handsome guy with salary so meager can't make a deposit by the thousands of dollars!

You can't also bring them all at once to the Philippines. The scanner will see those and  the immigration officer will ask for some share or kutong, if you're lucky. But if some unlucky charm comes along with the money, you might be holden by authorities and confiscate your money and detain you for being financier to the terrorists.

Oh, enough for this worse case scenario. Why I am writing this case? I want to end this dream happily. 

Okay, I am not bringing the raw money home, the dollar will be strengthened, and the peso will weaken, and the ofw's will get mad at me.

And so I keep the money in my bag pack, rushed home, and kiss my daughter and my wife. Mrs. Thoughtskoto will asked where this money come from, and so I said, "this falls from the sky. Perhaps some people rob a bank, their plane malfunctioned up above, and all their money went out. And God knows we need money and we are kind, He knows we will spend it wisely and share it to the poor ones..."

"Yala! Yala! Ro!" shouted by the driver in Arabic to the car before us. Then I was back to reality. I am still sitting to where I am sitting before I dreamed. I am still holding my pack bag, and tried to open it if it has really bundles of money inside. I was disappointed to find out my bulky bag is not full of money, but full of lab gown, notebooks, print out to read, and 'baon' (lunchbox) and Doritos to eat. I still have to wake up early, work hard to earn money, and live within our means with simple pleasure and simple joy.

Dreaming is good. Working out for those dreams is another thing. We cannot keep on dreaming and achieving those dreams without working. There is no shortcut to real happiness and joy, they say. And sometimes the real happiness and joy can be felt, and can be found only by working happily with whatever we do, and living joyfully and to the fullest with whatever we have.

And so I have to get to work now, to realize my dreams and well, some desires.
