Before an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) can finally send their "balikbayan boxes" containing treats for their loved ones, may it be a surprise gift, requested, or lovingly bought out of extreme homesickness, it will take months of tight budgeting, a number of skipped snacks and long days of waiting for the right "sale". It is only right to entrust them with legitimate cargo forwarders. Should anything untoward happens, you know who to run after. Sending your hard-earned cargo to illegal shippers is just like laying it away to thieves.
