This is a good news for Filipinos who want to work abroad or to become Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs). The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) said that aside from the countries in the Middle East there are new countries emerging as OFW destination.

Upon checking on POEA job database, indeed there are many open vacancies for teachers who want to work in China.

Particularly the People's Republic of China is hiring Filipino workers to work as economics teachers, English teachers, physics teachers and kindergarten teachers this April. Also, the country is hiring for waiter and waitress. (Please refer to job listing below ).
On the other hand, Russia has already started hiring Filipino workers to work as engineers, foreman, cook, inspector and many others (see job order from POEA below).
Aside from the two countries, the Czech Republic and San Marino are also negotiating labor deals according to Olalia. While Japan and South Korea are expected to place more job orders in the Philippines due to its aging population. Hong Kong is another country where Filipinos can work in the technology sector.
According to Olalia, this is the reason why the government is not worried if President Duterte decides to continue the deployment ban in Kuwait. He added labor demand in the Philippines is strong and deployment will keep growing.
