Filipino Caregivers sa Canada, Maaari Nang Mag-apply ng Permanent Residency

MANILA, Philippines — SIMULA Mayo 6 maaari nang mag-apply ng permanent residency ang mga Filipino caregivers at iba pang essential workers sa Canada na may temporary status.

Magiging daan umano ito para mga Filipino na mabibigyan ng permanent residency na makapag-file ng sponsorship upang madala sa Canada ang kanilang mga kamag-anak o pamilya.

“The announcement… to accelerate processing for caregivers with an application in process recognizes that many caregivers working in Canada are waiting to be reunited with their loved ones while their applications are being processed,” ang naging pahayag ng Canadian Embassy sa Pilipinas sa pamamagitan ng Twitter account nito.

Sa pahayag ng Canadian government, mahigit sa 90,000 temporary workers at international graduates ang maaaring mag-sumite ng application sa Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) sa ilalim g 3 pathways.

Tatanggap umano ng 20,000 applications ang IIRC para sa temporary workers sa 40 na mga health care occupants; 30,000 applications para sa temporary workers sa 95 na iba pang essential jobs at 40,000 applications para sa international students a gumraduate mula sa Canadian institutions.

Eligible sa programa ang mga essentials workers kung may hindi bababa sa isang taon na work experience ang mga ito sa Canada sa health care profession o sa iba pang inaprobahang essential occupation.

Samantala dapat namang natapos ng mga international graduates ang kanilang Canadian post-secondary program sa nakaraang apat na taon para maging eligible sa programa.

Itinakda sa Nobyembre 5 ang deadline ng application o hanggang sa maubos ang inilaang slots.

Ayon sa Canadian government, bahagi ng 2021 Immigration Plan ng bansa ang programa na may layuning magbigay ng 401,000 na mga bagong permanent residents upang masagot ang "labor shortages and add growth to our workforce."

Sinabi naman ng Canadian Embassy sa Manila na layunin ng programa na mapabilis ang pag-proseso ng permanenent residency application upang makapag-file ng sponsorship ang mga workers para sa kanilang eligible families na makapunta ng Canada.

"Our message to them is simple: your status may be temporary, but your contributions are lasting—and we want you to stay," ang naging pahayag ni Marco Mendicino, Canadian Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship.

"The pandemic has shone a bright light on the incredible contributions of newcomers. These new policies will help those with a temporary status to plan their future in Canada, play a key role in our economic recovery and help us build back better."

Japan at Israel, Tuloy ang Hiring ng mga Filipino Caregivers sa kabila ng Covid-19 Pandemic!

MANILA, Philippines — TULOY-TULOY ang hiring ng mga Filipino caregivers ng bansang Japan at Israel sa kabila ng mga panibagong travel restrictions dahil sa bagong Covid-19 variant.

Ayon kay Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) Administrator Bernardo Olalia, itutuloy ng Israel ang pagkuha ng 500 Pinoy caregivers.

"Matutuloy na ito kasi kinonfirm na ng bansang Israel... Mataas ang bilang ng kanilang shortage pagdating sa health care workers, lalong-lalo na sa caregivers kasi aging population din ang Israel," bahagi ng pahayag ni Olalia.

Paliwanag ni Olalia, government-to-government ang hiring sa Israel kaya walang placement fee at sa POEA lamang maaaring mag-apply.

Nasa US$1,500 o higit P70,000 ang sahod.

Samantala, inihayag naman ng isang recruitment agency na maraming caregivers ang ang kinakailangan ngayon ng Japan.

Ito'y sa kabila ng deklarasyon ng stata of emergency sa Tokyo, Japan dahil sa tumataas na kaso ng Covid-19 at pagpapatupad ng ban sa pagpasok ng mga foreign nationals sa bansa.

Ayon kay Cesar Averia, president at CEO ng EDI-Staffbuilders International, libo-libong mga caregivers ang kailangan sa Japan sa mga susunod na taon.

So we were able to meet that deadline for our 15 guys, so nandu'n na sila... and thousands and thousands are needed in Japan for the next, for the next 10 years, so it’s an opportunity that we have to take," pahayag ni Cesar Averia, president at CEO ng EDI-Staffbuilders International.

Kinumperma din nito na tuloy pa rin ang deployment nila ng 300 caregiver sa Abril at 500 sa Disyembre.

Qualifications para sa caregiver sa Japan

Graduate ng nursing/physical therapy/occupational therapy
Undergraduate pero may TESDA NCII certificate
6 months job experience

"First 2 months muna is actually online. After that, then they go on the school so that they can do the actual, the technical training... After that, they have to pass 2 exams... Most of them have financial problems so they cannot really stop working. And in order to learn language you have to concentrate and learn it and be dedicated to it. So all we need is their commitment," dagdag na pahayag ni Averia.

Paliwanag nito, walang gastusin ang aplikante dahil sagot ito lahat ng employer at pag nakapasa, US$1,300 o mahigit P60,000 kada buwan ang take home pay. Madalas, sagot din umano ng employer ang accomodation, food, at transporation expenses ng mga caregiver sa Japan.

Ayon naman kay Averia, bukod sa Japan ay nagde-deploy din sila ng mga caregivers sa Finland, nurses sa Germany at mga hospitality staff sa Saudi Arabia.

Nag-apela naman si Olalia sa mga nurses na huwag mag-apply bilang caregiver dahil marami umanong mga trabahong naghihintay sa mga nurses.

"Marami pong opening as full fledged nurse at mataas po ang suweldo," pahayag ni Olalia.
