According to Health, there are a number of ways that helps in reducing the risk of breast cancer:

Exercise
Studies revealed that regular exercise helps prevent the risk of having breast cancer. Get at least 150 minutes of moderate exercise or 75 minutes of vigorous exercise every week.

Avoid drinking alcohol
Avoiding or limiting alcohol intake lowers the risk of having breast cancer. To note, event just one drink per day can raise the possibility of acquiring the dreaded illness.

Refrain from smoking
Studies have found that smoking increases the risk of a number of cancers, including breast cancer.


Maintain a healthy weight
Being overweight or obese increases the risk of having breast cancer, especially after menopause.

Breastfeed
Mothers who breastfeed their children for at least six months can lower the risk of breast cancer.
