2 OFWs Confirmed Dead in A Road Accident in Saudi Arabia On August 19


2 Filipinos are confirmed dead on a road accident in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. A group of workers from Khatmah Medical Factory was traversing the desert when the vehicle accidentally fell of the ravine killing 2 OFWs on the spot. Loreto Luchavez Lucernas, from Pasig City, also a worker from the said company uploaded some photos on his social media account, which he eventually taken down, to inform the bereaved family of the victims. He said that the vehicle they were boarding was not fully inflated. As they travel, at around 5:00 in the afternoon, the driver lost control of the vehicle and fell off a 2-meter deep cliff. The vehicle rolled off leaving all the passengers wounded and 2 of them died on the spot due to severe impact. The victims were identified as Romeo Deondo, from Panit-an, Capiz, and Anthony Fulong, from Bicol,whom according to Lucernas were both working as a factory worker in the company for only 2 years. In a social media post, he was very excited to have his probably first vacation after leaving the Philippines for work in Saudi Arabia. Lucernas also mentioned on his social media post that this was the second time that they had an accident on the same road ,but this time, it has taken the lives of the 2 of his colleagues.
