Maltreated OFW In Russia Finally Home


A Filipina who suffered abused by the hands of her employers in Russia is finally back home.  The Department of Foreign Affairs facilitated the repatriation of Racquel Fabroz Dela Cruz on Sept. 18, 2017 and she is now enjoying the embrace of her family. According to her statements documented by local media in Yakutsk, Dela Cruz worked in Russia for two years and supposedly planned to transfer to another agency because of delayed wages and overtime payments.And to prevent her from leaving, her employers with held her belongings including her passport and other documents. Desperate and determined to escape from her cruel employer Dela Cruz jumped from a second floor apartment where she was illegally detained.She sustained a broken back and left leg after falling.
