Yes, we need to work. To make a living not just for ourselves but of course, our main priority to provide the needs of our family. Our work is a bread and butter to us, but not all of us are lucky enough to land in a job where we are growing as individual and we see our self-worth.

1. YOU ARE MISERABLE IN YOUR WORK

According to Susan Heathfield, the guide to human resource for About.com, "Hating your job can lead to stress that affects family relationships, your health, and your entire outlook." Wallowing in negative feeling every day will eventually kill you."

It means you’re unhappy most of every day doing this work.

Working in a certain job does not mean you need to be 100% happy. But if you always wake up in the morning feeling tired to work, it's time to look for other opportunities around you.

2. YOU DO NOT FIT IN

There are people who can easily adjust to their job in a new company with new co-workers. But if six months or one year have passed and you cannot feel at home in your workplace, maybe you don't fit in. If you cannot get a connection with your new boss or your new co-workers, maybe it's time to leave. It’s more than not being able to make friends at work: the danger lies in not being able to find a superior that can mentor you and help you grow.

One more reason with this is that the environment is tainted with extreme toxicity, including your boss and colleagues.

3. YOU ARE ALWAYS SICK BECAUSE OF YOUR WORK

Health is Wealth. This is why it is considered to be one of the most important things in your life. No salary, no job can compensate your health. Stress from your job can contribute to a heart disease and depression. “Chronic job strain can put both your physical and emotional health at risk,” says Paul J. Rosch, MD, the president of the American Institute of Stress. Work-related stress can negatively affect your mental and physical health. Take special note of chronic back pain, headaches or intestinal issues that you develop while on the job — your body might be telling you to quit.

4. YOU RECEIVED LOW PAY

A worker should be getting the salary he or she deserves. If you think you are overworked and underpaid, don't just leave your job without negotiating for a salary increase. If the economy and business are both doing well and you’ve been exceeding your targets but you don’t see any increase in sight from your current company, look for a company that will value you more.

5. YOU ARE BORED

A lot of us do the same job day-in, day-out. If you’re so bored by your job that it’s affecting the quality of your work, maybe it’s time to think about changing jobs. When you’ve outgrown your position and you’re stagnating in your company, ask for a change of position or look for better employment opportunities otherwise, you’re limiting your own potential.

6. YOUR BOSS IS TERRIBLE

Many employees said, they leave their boss and not the company. If your boss is verbally abusive, incompetent, demanding and you cannot take it anymore, then it's time to find a new boss. But before quitting, try some possibilities to smother your relationship with your boss.

This won’t always work. But make sure you are in good professional terms, even when you leave.

7. YOUR SKILLS ARE GOING UNUSED

You might be overqualified for your position, meaning you have a lot of skills that the company doesn’t tap, and you start to feel restless. If you can’t get a promotion at your current company that makes better use of your skills, start researching on a position at another company where you can exercise your potential.

8. YOUR COMPANY HAS NO FUTURE

Start looking for a new work in a more stable company if you can see some warning signs that your work or company is going nowhere in a year or two. Retrenchment or losing a lot of money is common signs to be aware of this.

9. YOU HAVE NO WORK OR LIFE BALANCE

If you are spending much of your time working such as overtime every day at work, the tendency is you spend less time with your loved ones. There should be a balance between work and life.

9. YOUR WORKPLACE IS ABUSIVE

Are there illegal things in your workplace? or Is it abusing you in ways such as harassment, violations of ethics, or anything that makes you uncomfortable, start looking for another job even as you address these issues with your current company.

11. A BETTER OFFER IS KNOCKING ON YOUR DOOR

They said opportunity comes once in a lifetime. So if you have job offers that guarantees a good pay, stable work, reasonable working hours, take the risk. You may never know how good it is unless you try it.

In the end, there is no such thing as the "best job in the world", every job has its ups and down, advantage and disadvantage, but if you are experiencing more bad things than good, look for the other option.
