Breaking News! American woman contracted a Zika Virus during her 4-weeks stay in the Philippines.
The Dept of Health of the Philippine government is coordinationg with the American Center for Disease Control and Prevention or CDC.
During a press conference, Dept of Health Secretary Janette Garin confirmed that an unidentified American woman who stayed in the Philippines for a month or 4-weeks contracted a Zika virus, and developed symptom on the last week of stay in the Philippines. They're now coordination to find out the location where she stayed and she been to, as Secretary Garin also reiterates that there is no outbreak of the disease somewhere in the country.

Pregnant women in the country are advised to be extra careful being bitten by mosquitoes and their babies could be infected by the virus. Some of those pregnant women who get infected by the Zika virus give birth to children with microcephaly as shown in the photo below.
