The Philippines is among 53 countries allowed by Russian government to visit their country using free electronic visa (e-Visa) starting this October.
According to Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, the law was made effective by the signing of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The free e-visa will be given to the people who will visit the country under tourism, business and humanitarian missions. The free visa is valid for 8 days.
The online visa application has to be made 4 days but should not be earlier than 20 ndays prior to the scheduled trip.
