An argument between a couple about politics in the Philippines in Quezon City turned into an accident in September 30 that left the girlfriend slightly injured and rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Richie Hernaez’s car crashed into a pickup truck and the other car infront of it. The accident happened when their car was traversing Ilocos Sur Street, Barangay Sto. Cristo in Quezon City. Hernaez said that in the height of their argument about politics, her girlfriend suddenly grabbed the steering wheel turning to the direction of the parked car. He stepped on the brake but it was already too late.

Hernaez also admitted that he drank two bottles of liquor before driving.
Hernaez, however promised to pay all the damages on the vehicles affected by the accident.
