A household service worker, in her 40's, and an Ilocana, has been fired by her employer after the employer found out that the HSW is trying to get recruits for the Multi-level Marketing Company.
The HSW has been reported by the employer to the Hong Kong Immigration Department. They investigated her for possible breach of work contract and has been deported back to the Philippines after few days of staying in the shelter.

The employer said that they do not want to have any involvement in any problems that may arise because of the HSWs recruitment activities.
The authorities said that the HSW stayed for only almost a year on her employer and that is her first job contract in Hong Kong.

Nearly 500 Filipinos in Hong Kong as well as their relatives in the Philippines allegedly invested at least P36,000 each in the scheme.
Recruiters promised return of investments between P180,000 and P360,000 but later discovered that their money has vanished in thin air. However, the Philippines’ Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) eventually sued Emgoldex, Global Intergold, and Prosperous Infinite Philippines Holdings Corp. for selling securities without a license.
