ALAMIN: Mga Dokumentong Kailangan Mo Kung Ikaw Ay Sasakay ng Eroplano sa Ilalim ng 'New Normal'



Kahit limitado, may biyahe na ang mga eroplano sa iba't-ibang bahagi ng Pilipinas o domestic flights at meron na ring mga international flights sa kabila ng coronavirus disease o Covid-19 pandemic.

Sa ngayon tanging mga essential travels o importanteng biyahe pa rin ang pinapayagan sa bansa at ipinagbabawal pa rin ang non-essential o leisure travels. 

Kabilang sa mga pinapayagang makabiyahe ay ang mga stranded individuals, repatriated overseas Filipino workers at mga taong nagtatrabaho sa authorized sectors.

Kung isa ka sa mga bibyahe ngayong may panahon nga pandemya, dapat alam mo ang mga dokumento o requirements na dapat dalhin upang hindi ma-offload sa eroplano.

Ayon sa Cebu Pacific at Philippine Airlines, may mga pasahero na silang hindi pinahintulutang sumakay ng eroplano dahil sa kakulangan ng mga dokumento na hinihingi ng mga local governments bilang hakbang laban sa Covid-19.

Sinabi naman ni PAL Spokesperson Cielo Villalune, kailangang mag-presenta ng medical certificate at travel pass ang mga pasaherong na-stranded dahil sa lockdown.

  • Travel Authority / Pass mula sa Joint Task Force COVID Shield (JTF-CV) ng Philippine National Police o PNP

  • Medical Certificate from DOH-accredited hospital o City or Municipal Health Office
  • Barangay Certification na nagpapatunay na walang Covid-19 symptoms sa loob ng 14 na araw ang pasahero bago ang biyahe nito.

  • Anumang official document mula sa kompanya na nagpapaliwanag sa rason ng biyahe nito

PAL And Cebu Pacific Ready To Return The Terminal Fee In All Unused Air ticket

Philippine Airlines (PAL) and Cebu Pacific (Cebu Pac)  said that they are ready to return terminal fees for unused tickets of passengers who failed to make their flights.
Terminal fees is integrated in all air ticket purchases. However, the OFWs may refund their terminal fees at the designated booth at NAIA.

Cebu Pacific Launched 'Study Now, Pay Later' Program For Those Who Wants to Be a Pilot

Being a pilot is considered to be one of the most rewarding aviation careers and professions. Many people dream to fly an aircraft but only a few become licensed or registered because this thing is not easy. Lack of finances is one of a major problem since this course is considered to be expensive. According to Captain Samuel Avila, vice president of Flight Operations of Cebu Pacific in PTV News, for someone to become a pilot, he or she needs to prepare P2 million to P3.8 million for a 12-month training program. Avila added, pilot training is a high-risk investment because there is no guarantee for employment in spite of expensive training fees.

 He said this is one of many reasons why Cebu Pacific launches its Cadet Pilot Training, with a goal of recognizing the importance of education to produce a better number of highly skilled aviators.

This program, Avila said is for Filipinos who want to become a pilot through study and train now, then pay later.

Cebu Pacific will finance the training course. Successful applicants will be employed by the airline, and they can pay for the training cost through salary deduction over a maximum of 10 years.

Avila explained that rigorous screening process will be done to applicants and successful candidates will undergo a 56-Week integrated flying program flight theory and education course at the Flight Training Adelaide (FTA) in Australia.

 FTA provides customized aviation training solutions for the fixed wing and rotary wing industry. FTA’s goal is not just to train cadets for them to obtain a license, but to produce future airline and helicopter captains.

He said the Cebu Pacific will invest USD25 million in this program for five years. Each year, three batches (16 successful candidates per batch) will be sent to the FTA. The first batch would go there in the first quarter of 2018.

The applicant will undergo an online and onsite screening for core skills and aptitude test.

Applicant selection for the successful candidate will be made by the Cebu Pacific and the FTA.

The successful candidate will undergo training at the FTA for 52 weeks where they can earn their aviation diplomas.

They will be trained on a flight simulator, then on an actual aircraft, for them to complete the licensing requirements to be a commercial pilot.

They will return to the Philippines to undergo a four-week training to get a pilot’s license.

Cebu Pacific announced in a statement that it started waiving fees for rebooking and flight details changes made within 24 hours of the original booking starting August 1. Previously, passengers are paying P1,500 for rebooking of domestic flights, P2,300 for short-haul flights and P2,500 for long-haul flights. Penalties were also waived for booking amendments that will require changes to the flight sequence , the airline said.
