MANILA, Philippines — SIMULA ngayong Hunyo, matatanggap na ng mahigit sa 32, 000 na mga pensioners ng mula sa public at private sector ng Employees Compensation Commission o ECC ang kanilang one-time financial assistance.
Ito ang kinumperma ng Department of Labor and Employment o DOLE.
Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ni Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III na ipamimigay ng by-batches ang one-time financial assistance na nagkakahalaga ng P20,000 sa mga EC pensioners ng Social Security System o SSS at Government Service Insurance System o GSIS.
Sinabi ni Bello na ang P20,000 na financial assistance mula sa ECC para sa private sector EC pensioners ay papasok na sa kanilang accounts simula ngayong Hunyo.

Matatandaan na naglaan ang ECC ng nasa P600 million para sa roll-out ng nabanggit na aid package na makatutulong sa mga private at public sectors workers.
Ang SSS at GSIS ay administering agencies para sa private at public sectors ng ECC.
“The PHP20,000 financial assistance from the ECC for private sector EC pensioners will be credited to their accounts starting this month of June,” ang kumpermasyon ni Bello bilang EEC chairperson.
Nilinaw naman ni ECC Executive Director Stella Zipagan-Banawis na hindi na kailangang mag-apply ang mga kwalipikadong EC pensioners para sa nasabing financial assistance dahil ipo-proseso ito kagaya ng proseso ng kanilang EC pensions.
“EC pensioners in the private sector with at least one month of permanent partial disability (PPD), permanent total disability (PTD), or survivorship pension from January 1, 2020, to May 31, 2021, will benefit from the one-time financial assistance,” pahayag ni Banawis.

Sino ang maituturing na EC pensioners?
Ang mga EC pensioners ay mga taong nagkaroon ng permanent partial disability o PPD o permanent total disability o PTD na kanilang natamo dahil sa kanilang trabaho o pinagtatrabahuan.
Maituturing din na EC pensioners o survivorship ang mga benepisyaryo ng mga manggagawang namatay dahil sa trabaho.
Sakaling namatay ang eligible EC pensioners sa itinakdang period mula Enero 1, 2020 hanggang May 31, 2021, ang one-time financial assistance ay ibibigay sa kanyang beneficiary.

Abril 19 nang pinirmahan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang Administrative Order No. 39 na nag a-aproba ng one-time financial assistance sa mga EC pensioners sa public at private sectors.
