Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo explained that Sanchez is not eligible to avail the provisions of the Republic Act 10592 and as a chief enforcer of the law, the president will have to follow what the law says.

Malacañang also supported the Justice Department’s statement that habitual delinquents and those convicted of heinous crimes will not benefit from the law.
