POEA: More than 1, 200 Filipino Workers Needed In Saudi Arabia; 200 More In Taiwan


The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) announced that more than 1,200 specialist nurses and 100 respiratory therapists are in need in Saudi Arabia. On the other hand, Taiwan has 200 job vacancy for Filipino's to grab this November.

According to GMA News, interested applicants to Saudi Arabia must register with the POEA and these jobs are "No Placement Fee".

According to so Jocelyn Sanchez, deputy administrator of POEA, this is under the government to the government program and applicants only need to spend for their documentation fee.

A big salary is waiting for Filipinos for the said field; according to report, salary for specialist nurses can start at P56,000 per month while respiratory therapist will receive as high as P109,000 a month.

Aside from Saudi Arabia, Taiwan is also looking for 200 factory workers for food processing, food analysis inspectors and bakers are also needed. The salary for these positions could reach P35,000 per month.

According to POEA, applicants must be at least high school graduate or vocational graduate, physically and mentally fit to work, no color blindness, no tattoos, and with good communication in oral and written English.

POEA said interested applicants for Taiwan must first register at www.eregister.poea.gov.ph before they could submit the required documents at the POEA office in Manila or Davao City.
