Online Registration para sa National ID, Bubuksan Na!




MANILA, Philippines — NAKATAKDANG buksan ng gobyerno ang online registration para sa national ID dahil na rin sa mga restrictions dala pa rin ng tumataas na bilang ng coronavirus disease o Covid-19.

Ayon sa Presidential Communications Operations Office o PCOO, nakatakdang simulan ang online registration para sa demographic information.

Sa ngayon, ang nasabing proseso ay ginagawa sa pamamagitan ng house-to-house data collection ng mga Filipino mula sa low-income families.

Noong nakaraang taon, sinimulan ng gobyerno ang registration sa 32 lalawigan at lungsod na may mabababang kaso ng coronavirus disease o Covid-19.

Ayon sa official Facebook page ng PSA Philippine Identification System, maaaring makakuha ng digital National ID sa tatlong steps.

Step 1: Pagkolekta ng demographic information at appointment-setting for Step 2 gamit ang online registration portal na magbubukas ngayong April 2021.

Dito kukunin ang sumusunod na impormasyon:
  • Name
  • Sex
  • Date of birth
  • Place of birth
  • Blood type
  • Address
At iba pang optional information tulad ng marital status, cell phone number, at email address.
Pagkatapos mag-input ng kailangang impormasyon, maaari na rin kayong mag-set ng appointment para sa Step 2 sa registration center na malapit sa inyong lugar!

Step 2: Pagkuha ng biometric information, tulad ng fingerprint, iris scan, at front-facing photograph at validation ng supporting documents.

Ang hakbang na ito ay gaganapin sa registration center na inyong pinili mula sa Step 1 registration. Huwag kalimutang dalhin ang inyong transaction number para sa hakbang na ito!

Step 3: Issuance ng PhilSys Number (PSN) at PhilID 

Ang inyong PSN at PhilID ay ide-deliver ng PHLPost sa inyong tahanan! Paalala lamang po na huwag i-post sa social media ang inyong PhilID dahil ito ay naglalaman ng inyong personal na impormasyon.

Ang Philippine ID Systsem o PhilSys ay iniuutos sa ilalim ng Republic Act 1105 na naging batas noong Agosto 2018.

“As we pursue this long-overdue project, I ask every Filipino to give PhilSys a chance so we may maximize the advantages of a universal and secure database that will make transactions more efficient, and our lives more convenient,” ang naging pahayag ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Humigit sa 30 milyong mga Pilipino na ang dumaan sa Step 1 ng PhilSys registration.

 Kabilang dito ang 2.6 million na nai-register ngayong taong 2021.

Layunin ng Philippine Identification System o PhilSys na bigyan ng valid proof of identity ang bawat Pilipino at mga dayuhang naninirahan sa bansa.

Sa tulong ng pagkakaroon ng valid proof of identity, magiging mas madali para sa ating mga kababayan na maka-access sa mga serbisyo ng gobyerno at pribadong sektor, at iba pang transaksyon na kailangan ng valid ID.

Magbubukas na sa publiko ang online registration para sa Step 1 ngayong 2021.

The process in getting your Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Death Certificate, and Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR) has been made easy. You can even claim your document within hours. This is because of the computerized system that the Philippine Statistics Authority is presently using. You can get you documents by phone, online or going personally to the ir nearest office in your area. For walk-in applicants, all you need to do is to follow these easy steps: Step 1. Application Take an application form and fill-out the required information. Step 2. Screening Proceed to the screeners' desk . This is where they check if the information you provided is readable and correctly done. They will mark it with "OK" if you are ready to proceed to the cashier. Step 3. Payment Proceed to the cashier for the payment of your requested document. They will provide you with an official receipt indicating the release date of your document. At the cashier you need to pay the following amount depending on the documents you requested. Step 4. Releasing If your request is not readily available due to some circumstances, you may need to present a request for processing which includes encoding, printing, sorting and releasing of the documents which may vary depending on the following cases: Converted documents can be released on the same day. Unconverted and annotated documents means they do not have the record yet on their database and you may need to wait for 10 days for your requested document to be released. For the CENOMAR, you may need to wait for 4 working days for your document to be released. There are not much requirements. All you need to do is the accomplished application form. Valid IDs are required for those who are requesting Birth Certificates. For those who are representing other people, you may need to present an authorization letter. House Panel, Approves 4-days Work Week

"Thank God it's Friday." A common phrase we hear from workers, especially when the weekend is approaching. We are excited to get rest on Saturday and Sundays to rejuvenate ourselves for Monday. But, the five-day workweek may change if the House of Representative will approve the House Bill 5068. This is after the House Committee on Labor and Employment passed the bill that will allow a four-day workweek by increasing the normal eight-hour workday to a 10 or 12-hour workday.

 "Thank God it's Friday." A common phrase we hear from workers, especially when the weekend is approaching. We are excited to get rest on Saturday and Sundays to rejuvenate ourselves for Monday.

But, the five-day workweek may change if the House of Representative will approve the House Bill 5068.

This is after the House Committee on Labor and Employment passed the bill that will allow a four-day workweek by increasing the normal eight-hour workday to a 10 or 12-hour workday.


According to Baguio Representative Mark Go, the goal of this bill is to lessen the number of days at work.

Go believes that shortening the work week will allow flexibility and productivity for the company as well as provide work-life balance for the employees.

But the bill also adjusted conditions for overtime work, defining it as work beyond eight hours on a normal schedule or 12 hours on a compressed work schedule.

Under the bill, the four-day workweek is not mandatory. The company may still decide on the work schedules compatible with their business requirements.

"If they decide to go on a four-day workweek, they have to work 12 hours a day. They will only be paid overtime pag mag-exceed ang 48 hours a week," Go said.

Under the Labor Code of the Philippines, employees are required to render a maximum of six days or work or 40 to 48 hours a week.
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (TUCP) expressed support for the proposal.

TUCP said, that once the bill is approved, it will provide work-life balance. Workers and employees can spend more quality time with family necessary to become more productive at work, reduce work-related stress and fatigue, minimize transportation cost, reduce workplace electricity expenses, and help decongest traffic.

On the other hand, the Federation of Free Workers (FFW) warned that a shorter workweek could affect the health and productivity of workers.

"Working for more than 8 hours, although tolerable for a day or two, would not be good for workers' health in the long run. Working 12 hours a day for 4 straight days a week will take a toll on the body,"

According to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), there were 8.105 million Filipinos that are overworked in their primary job in 2015.

7 Things You Need To Know About National ID System!


The House Committee on Population and Family Relation approved the Filipino Identification Act, a bill that seeks to establish the national identification (ID) system for all Filipinos, in the country and abroad. Under the bill, all Filipinos residing anywhere in the world should register their personal information into the central system. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) will be the agency to manage the central system that will issued a non-transferable national ID card with a number that shall be valid for life.

For Filipinos residing or working abroad, all they need to do is to register themselves in the nearest Philippine embassy or consular office in the country where they are staying.

The national ID card would be honored in the following transactions;
1. person's identity, marital status, birth, and other personal circumstances

2. It will serves as official document to be honored in transactions with national government agencies, local government units, government-owned or controlled corporations, and government financial institutions.

3. The ID should contain fingerprint information and a common reference number.

4. The ID may be used for applications for passport, driver's license, Social Security System, Government Service Insurance System, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG), and the National Bureau of Investigation.

5. The national ID card may also be used to identify voters, schools, and employees, as well as to avail of senior citizens' benefits. 

6. It may also be used for court, prosecutor, and police clearances, and in banking and financial institutions.

7. The national ID will be free but payment is needed for those who needs re-issuance.

Under the bill, the ID will be mandatory to all Filipinos ages 18-years old up.

According to reports, there are only nine countries in the world who left without national ID system, and the Philippines is one of them.

Up to two years of imprisonment and a fine of P50,000 to P500,000 will be waiting for those who will give false personal information in the national ID.

The bill will be brought to the plenary for the 2nd reading.
