Pahayag ni SSS VP Fernan Nicolas sa GMA Network Unang Hirit: “Up to 20,000 o katumbas po ito ng one month salary credit. Halimbawa, ang isang miyembro ay naghuhulog ng para sa P20,000 monthly salary credit, makakakuha po siya ng ganung halaga. Ang kailangan lang nilang i-present ay ‘yung certification galing sa DOLE na sila ay involuntarily separated. Tapos i-present nila ‘yung savings account kung saan natin ide-deposit." 

Ang unemployment benefit ay matatanggap sa loob ng 5 days hanggang 7 days basta may ATM o cash card na binigay ang aplikante para doon magcrecredit ang cash aid. Ang pera ay hahatiin at matatanggap sa loob ng dalawang buwan. Ang mga miyembro na nawalan ng trabaho ngunit nakatanggap ng benepisyo mula sa mga ahensiyang namimigay ng cash assistance ay pwede pa ring mag-apply. Itong benepisyo ay galing mismo sa SSS at hindi sa gobyerno.

Noong nakaraan Oktubre 2018 ang proposal ng SSS na “Social Security Act of 2018” o Section 14-B ng Republic Act No. 11199 ay naaprubahan na ng gobyerno at naging isang ganap na batas. Nakapaloob dito ang pagpapatupad ng Unemployment Benefit para sa miyembrong sapilitan na nawalan ng trabaho at ito ay naging epektibo noong March 5, 2019.

Base sa official website ng Social Security System, narito ang mga listahan ng mga maaaring mag-apply sa SSS Unemployment Benefit:

• Hindi lalampas sa edad na 60 years old na natanggal sa trabaho 
• Nakapagbayad ng hindi bababa sa 36 monthly contributions (3 years)
• Mga hindi nakatanggap ng kahit anong employment benefit sa loob ng tatlong taon mula sa buwan ng nawalan ng trabaho 
• Mga trabahador na nawalan ng trabaho sa kadahilanan ng pagbaba ng ekonomiya, pandemya, kalamidad o sakuna.
• Mga trabahador na nawalan ng trabaho base sa kanilang sitwasyon ay maaari ring mag apply ngunit magbabase  ito sa assessment at desisyon ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

Paano maqualify sa SSS Pension Loan Program?

1. Walumpu't limang (85) taong gulang o pababa sa katapusan ng termina ng pautang.

2. Walang ibinabawas sa buwanang pensiyon, tulad ng natitirang balanse sa ibang pautang ng SSS, sobrang benepisyong binayaran ng SSS at iba pa.

3. Walang paunang pensiyong natatanggap sa ilalim ng SSS Calamity Package

4. Tumatanggap na ng regular na pensiyon na hindi bababa sa isang (1) buwan at ang status ng pensiyon ay "Active" 

Tandaan na kung ang retirement pensioner ay kumuha ng paunang 18 buwang pensiyon, siya ay dapat nakakatanggap na ng kanyang regular pension na hindi bababa sa isang buwan

Tandaan rin na ang retirement pensioner na nasa ilalim ng Portability Law o nasa pangangalaga at kustodia ng isang guardian ay hindi maaring mag-apply sa PLP

Narito ang proseso ng pag-apply ng Pensioners Loan Program

1. Pumunta sa pinakamalapit na SSS Branch upang personal na mag-apply ng inyong Pension Loan

2. Ipakita ang orihinal at magsubmit ng photocopy ng alinmang ID lalo na government IDs' na SSS ID, UMID ID Card, Pasaoprte o Voter's ID. Para sa iba pang ID, tingnan sa ibaba.

3. Hintayin ang resulta ng beripikasyon upang malaman kung ang pensyonado ay kwalipikado sa Pensioners Pension Plan.

4. Pumili ng loan amount o loan term na inaaplayan.

5. I-check ang inyong loan borrower information at detalye ng  loan.

6. Tanggapin ang cash card or quick card ng napiling bangko at i-enroll ang UMID card as ATM sa alinmang sangay ng Union Bank of the Philippines kiosk na pinakamalapit sa inyong lugar.

7. Lagdaan ang mga sumusunod; Pension Loan Application at Disclosure Statement, Photocopies of the ID submitted

8. Punuan at pirmahan ang supplemental Information Sheet at Terms and Conditions ng napiling bangko.

9. Hintayin sa loob ng limang (5) working days ang loan proceeds na ipapasok sa cashcard o UMID card.

Hanggang kailan babayaran? 24 months or years to pay.

Paano binabase ang mauutang? Depende po sa laki ng binabayad o sa laki ng pension.

2. A link shall be sent to the registrant's email which will enable them to continue with their SS Number application. Note: The link shall expire in 5 days and once it expires, the registrant will have to repeat the first step of the registration process.
