Visa-Free entry For Filipinos In Taiwan, Extended Until 2019

The visa-free travel program for travelers to Taiwan from neighboring Asian countries like Philippines, Thailand, and Brunei will be extended until  July 2019.
Taiwan started a trial one-year visa-free travel regime for visitors from Thailand and Brunei in August 2016. Filipino tourists were added to the program last November for an initial trial period of nine months.

However, with the new extensions, the number of days travelers from Thailand and Brunei for visiting Taiwan visa-free is reduced from 30 days to 14 days,  just the same as that of travelers from the Philippines currently enjoy.

Saudi Arabia to Open Red Sea Luxury Resort Where Women Can Wear Bikinis?

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will be one of the worlds tourist destination soon. This is after Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, chairman of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), announced the launching of a massive tourism development project that will turn 50 islands and other sites on the Red Sea into luxury resorts. The Telegraph reported that as the new heir to the throne, he announced plans for the beach resort where special laws will allow women to wear bikinis, instead of covering up their skin. The Saudi government said the resort will be "governed by laws on par with international standards". It hopes to attract both foreign tourist and domestic visitors. The launching is Kingdom's measure to diversify the economy, as oil prices continue to fall.

To invite more foreign tourist, visa restriction on foreigners are to be relaxed in the tourist zone. There's a possibility of a visa-free travel too in the said area.


Construction of the new resorts is due to start in 2019. The first phase will include developing a new airport as well as luxury hotels and housing and is expected to be complete in 2022.

The tourism project is part of a plan, known as Vision 2030.












According to Vision 20130 fund, the Red Sea development will be built along 125 miles of western coastline of Saudi.

Attraction that foreigners will look up are the following
  • protected coral reefs
  • dormant volcanoes
  • natural reserves inhabited by rare wildlife like Arabian leopards and falcons.
Visitors will also be able to take trips to the ancient ruins of Madain Saleh, classified as a Unesco World Heritage site, and take part in activities such as parachuting, trekking, and rock climbing.

 The project aims to generate SR15 billion ($4 billion) annually to the Saudi economy and create 35,000 jobs.

As of this moment, there are already tour companies lining up to send tourists to Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast.

UK-based Wild Frontiers has been advertising eight-day packages to Saudi Arabia for several months in the hope that the country’s closed tourist attractions might be opened up.
