Our country is now experiencing high inflation rate like its neighboring countries. The only thing is that, while other countries in the region like India, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, etc., seems to recuperate with high inflation rates, we are just started to hit the peak. 
The high inflation rate is so evident that even the families of overseas Filipino workers  (OFW) who used to catch up with their expenses using the remittances sent by the OFWs to pay their bills, mortgages etc., are now complaining of budget shortage due to high prices of food items, transportation, and basic commodities. 
Recruitment and migration expert Emmanuel Geslani even advised the OFWs to send at least 20% more remittances in order for their families to cope up as the prices soar high.

With the PBR website, the certificate can even be printed in the comfort of their own home. Here are the steps you have to take to secure that certificate. Check the availability of a business name Before starting the registration process, it helps to check if the business name you have in mind is still available to use. At the PBR, one can easily type in the prospective business name and it will check the database if there are enterprises already using that trade name. A word of advice: don’t just try to check the business name you are aiming for once. Try to modify your search to save time later on. Visa-Free entry For Filipinos In Taiwan, Extended Until 2019

The visa-free travel program for travelers to Taiwan from neighboring Asian countries like Philippines, Thailand, and Brunei will be extended until  July 2019.
Taiwan started a trial one-year visa-free travel regime for visitors from Thailand and Brunei in August 2016. Filipino tourists were added to the program last November for an initial trial period of nine months.

However, with the new extensions, the number of days travelers from Thailand and Brunei for visiting Taiwan visa-free is reduced from 30 days to 14 days,  just the same as that of travelers from the Philippines currently enjoy.

Pact For The Welfare Of OFWs Signed on the Last Day Of ASEAN Summit


An agreement between ASEAN countries which took 10 years to finalize has been signed by the leaders at the closing day of the ASEAN Summit hosted by the Philippines.. As expected, at least 212,000 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) will benefit from a landmark pact signed by the 10 heads of state. Under the Asean Consensus on the Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Migrant Workers, Asean governments vowed to guarantee fair treatment and protection against abuse of migrant workers from neighboring countries. The result of a year-and-a-half long survey conducted by Transparency International with over 20,000 participants from different countries in the Asia Pacific region revealed the top five most corrupt countries in Asia and the Philippines is nowhere in the list. The survey was conducted based on bribery rates happening in 16 countries in Asia. The survey result shows that corruption and bribery is alarmingly prevalent and deeply rooted in these countries. Meet President Duterte's Beautiful Security Aide and Pretty Personal Nurse



During his visit in Thailand, President Rodrigo Duterte introduced his Security Aide who happened to be a former candidate of Miss Philippines Earth, Sofia Loren Deliu. A graduate of the police Academy, Police Inspector Sofia Loren Pang-ot Deliu is a half Filipina- half Romanian police woman hailed from Baguio City. Her dad is a former military man as well. Why OFWs Remain in Neck-deep Debts After Years Of Working Abroad? From beginning to the end, the real life of OFWs are colorful indeed. To work outside the country, they invest too much, spend a lot. They start making loans for the processing of their needed documents to work abroad. From application until they can actually leave the country, they spend big sum of money for it. But after they were being able to finally work abroad, the story did not just end there. More often than not, the big sum of cash they used to pay the recruitment agency fees cause them to suffer from indebtedness. They were being charged and burdened with too much fees, which are not even compliant with the law. Because of their eagerness to work overseas, they immerse themselves to high interest loans for the sake of working abroad. The recruitment agencies play a big role why the OFWs are suffering from neck-deep debts. Even some licensed agencies, they freely exploit the vulnerability of the OFWs. From beginning to the end, the real life of OFWs are colorful indeed. To work outside the country, they invest too much, spend a lot. They start making loans for the processing of their needed documents to work abroad. From application until they can actually leave the country, they spend big sum of money for it. But after they were being able to finally work abroad, the story did not just end there. More often than not, the big sum of cash they used to pay the recruitment agency fees cause them to suffer from indebtedness. They were being charged and burdened with too much fees, which are not even compliant with the law. Because of their eagerness to work overseas, they immerse themselves to high interest loans for the sake of working abroad. The recruitment agencies play a big role why the OFWs are suffering from neck-deep debts. Even some licensed agencies, they freely exploit the vulnerability of the OFWs.
