To the Ladies and to the Girls

I've talked to a lovely lady, a good friend of me and Mrs. Thoughtskoto. She told me about a guy she loved dearly and faithfully until she found out he has loved another girl. She was in despair, devastated, and heartbroken. Sad to say we've known several stories related to this, and often, most often, the one left wallowing in self pity, and sometimes, even remorse, are the girls and women who gave almost all to the guys they loved.

When we went home, Mrs. Thoughtskoto and I were talking about the scarcity of men that women can rely and depend on, that women can trust and love, and offer the best that they've got and who will love them, faithfully and truthfully. This prompted me to comment and counsel, Mhel and William, bachelor friend of ours, who are riding with us on the way home, "to be good and be responsible, for they are "endangered men". Kung meron man words na ganyan. J

I am not a perfect husband and partner, but I am trying my best to make my wife and family happy. I love my wife, and though I fail so many times, I am trying my best to show that love in word and deed.

I am thinking about my sister, our single friends out there, single classmates and acquaintances here in Facebook. I know most of them, they are beautiful ladies, most of them are trying to be the best that they can be, and yes, all of them are waiting for that 'knight in shining armor'. Desperately hoping that one day they will find that love, they can have a family of their own, and they can live happily ever after. Though love stories and marriages are far from the fairytales and movies we watched, the reality is a combination of bitter and sweet part of learning experiences, growing love, and progressing relationship.

Below are some of the random thoughts I have right now while sitting in my desk at the laboratory with regards to choosing the man to love, to marry and to spend the rest of your life, even forever, in a perspective of a man who was once looking for a princess, and gratefully found and now, proudly bound with.

This is not by priority;

1.    Choose a man who loves you so much, that he will do anything good for your happiness and safety.
2.    Choose a man that is responsible and respectful.
3.    A man can be personable without being a head turner, a hunky or a celebrity
4.    Oftentimes, men like and attracted to simple women and girls. Make-up and nail polish, and lipsticks are fine, but sometimes, women are more beautiful without them.
5.    Men like na magpaimpress, and we are often given hope if a woman/girl laugh or smile over our OA or corny na patawa.
6.    The man/guy who may look like nothing now, but with love and inspiration he can be successful and be more handsome than your Mr. Right fantasy.
7.    If you are looking for a good looking or very handsome prince, you might end up an old maid forever, and remember lahat tayo nagkakawrinkles and kukulubot, so balewala pa rin ang kapogian and kagwapuhan.
8.    Love sometimes is mysterious, kumbaga, kung ukol, bubukol. We keep on loving and loving because as our love grows, our desire is not so much what can make us happy but what can we do to make the one we love more happier.
9. Character is the most important thing in love and life. A man can be good looking and rich, but without character, right values, and correct principles, you will never be happy.
10. Sabi nga sa Desiderata:

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.

Well, that’s it for now. I have some sample preparation and analysis to do, so I will just post this and will be back to add some of my thoughts later.

Stormed and Flooded, Still Here!

What year is it now? It's been like century if not forever that I haven't updated my blog, I have so many thoughts, but it seems to me that those thoughts can't find their way to blog post. Aside from the repost dito, repost doon, and copying my statuses from my Facebook, I haven't really have a real blog entry.

So awake, and arise and shine! Naks, parang scriptural terms or nakikipagdigmaan. Hehe
After PEBA 2010, there is just too much work to do, and so much things to attend to especially now that my lady is carrying our 2nd child and she is having a hard time with some pregnancy related extra curricular activities! Forgive my terms, I am so out of thoughts with regards to that. Haha

I will be back soon, with my powerful windows mobile phone, I can do blogging even I am at work.

Someone said, "I guess you are happy in your life." I am? I asked with a smile. How do we define happiness? Really? Sabi ko nga sa Facebook status ko one time,

As I grow older (oh my, I have to admit it! :) I realized fame, learning, beauty or riches doesn't define success and happiness - it's in planning and prioritizing things.

I have had a lot of experiences lately, and some of them are not so easy to bear. The Thoughtskoto's been to a lot of challenges and trials and yet we are here surviving, trying our best to endure, because nothing is really over until we stop trying.

I remember we have this really old electric fan back home when I was a teenage boy. The fan was broken and was sewed by  copper wire. The cover bend and straightened. It was a typical small electric fan that was beaten, fall several times, and yet the amazing thing is that - it is still usable! it is still working!

Life is like that. Sometimes we are tried, tempted, beaten, wearied, and yet we endure, we persevere, we hold on because we believe that life is not just about surviving, it is enjoying. There will be times we maybe sad, we maybe down, we may be tempted, we fail,  but it doesn't mean we will give up. We are still around, we may be quiet, but we gather strength and we face the world again with a smile, not minding those failings and bitterness we have had in life.

Anyway, plug-in ko lang po, ang latest ko na entry sa the Kablogs Journal Online Magazine. Hope you will keep reading and contributing sa TKJ. If you want to support,

please email: thekablogsjournal@gmail.com

"For love is not assuming, it is free of anything. It is giving. It is making other person happy. It is bringing out the best to people. It is inspiring, it doesn’t seek for glory or return, it is without condition, description, or qualification – who and what you are does not matter anymore. What matters is that you are happy, and most importantly the one you love is happy."

Belated happy hearts day sa lahat!

Random Thoughts and Quotes

We won't be here (OFW's) for a lifetime. For me, wherever I go, so long that my family is with me, it's fine. That's our promise. To be together, here and forever.

-Mr. Thoughtskoto

"I don’t see any possible solution for an Overseas Filipino Worker and for his/her family back home to maintain a strong relationship of love and trust than to communicate in any possible means, constantly reassuring each other of the promises they made before the eyes of man, and the eyes of God, and that they will be together till death, and beyond."

My wife and I were taught of the “chastity before marriage and fidelity after marriage.” Our vows are not just to last till death, but for all time and all eternity. Knowing that, even if we are physically separated for now, we are doing every possible means to be together, in the voices of our heart, and the thoughts in our minds.
For true love is never waning and never failing, even a thousand miles apart.

Mr. Thoughtskoto
- From the Kablogs Journal Entry, "For Married OFW's"

"I hope the day will come that there will only be one nation, and no visa rules to follow, I hope the world will value families. And all families won't have a reason not to be together. Family should be forever and should stay together in this life and in the eternities."

- Mrs. Thoughtskoto

‎"In our lives, we will constantly meet 3 different kind of people. Those who are happy living a simple and quiet life with their love ones, those who find happiness in selflessly losing themselves in the service of others, and those who are happy and preoccupied by the praises of men and vanities of this world...There is always a human instinct within us- a longing to matter - to reach out - to serve."

-Mr. Thoughtskoto
From a talk delivered one friday morning at Saudi City, Jeddah

"God hears and answers prayers even those that go unspoken. He listens to the prayers of our hearts."

- Mrs. Thoughtskoto

"Someone told me that people, when they become richer and/or wiser, and/or older, they become prouder, unteachable, and easily offended. I wonder if he's right..."

- Mr. Thoughtskoto

"Some... but not collectively. This is what we call pride cycle, in humility we find success and our pride becomes the reason for our downfall."
Mrs. Thoughtskoto

"The easiest way to find love is to give love, the quickest way to end it is to hold it tight but the best way to keep it is to let if fly." - Mr. Thoughtskoto

"When the world evolves just around you, you'll feel miserable. But if the world evolves around the rest of us, you'll see the bigger picture, you'll be enlightened and then you'll have a greater understanding. There are people who talk and talk, wear sunglasses at night and earplugs all the time, figuratively speaking, are people who are miserable."

- Mr. Thoughtskoto

And no matter what others say, or testify, it is only thru the Spirit of God that we will know if these things are indeed true. How marvelous a simple sincere prayer can do....
-Mrs. Thoughtskoto

Sometimes, I have this weird thoughts. I'll live my life so that those who hurt, maligned, belittled and trampled me regretted doing so. Sometimes, I want them to see who I become because of what they did. In short, I am strengthened and become better because of challenges posed by people like them. But it is not healthy. Not good. I should not harbor hatred, but instead, forgive and forget.

Mr. Thoughtskoto

"Life isn't perfect, but the thought that you have a wonderful family, a loving husband and sweet daughter, makes everything worth it. And no matter how imperfect some things maybe it still feels a bit of heaven on earth."

-Mrs. Thoughtskoto

‎"You are just one person, you can't do anything." Well, thats a sad thing, but you know what, if this one person can influence a thousand, you better be ready. You never ever underestimate the ability and the capacity of one simple person. You might think he's a fool or a loser, but one day, he is the one who live a happy life, and more successful than you."

-Mr. Thoughtskoto

"Wrong notion of many: Didn't get an education because we're only poor. Would want to help if we're rich. The kids are behaving like that because the family is not well-off. Would have done this and that if am a millionaire. not having enough finances is not an excuse, its not the first and last option to be able to do things you want."
-Mrs. Thoughtskoto

"As we get older and become wiser, we realize that beauty fades with the years, but kind heart lives forever. So when we look at a person, do we see "beauty" within and the kind of heart he has? The problem is we are so blinded or perhaps wicked that we cannot see ones heart. For me, the only ugly person is those who sow ugliness"

-Mr. Thoughtskoto

"They say there are three kinds of people, the stupid who makes mistakes, the smart who learn from his mistakes, and the wise who makes mistakes, learn from them and never did the same mistake again."

-Mr. Thoughtskoto

"What do we have to prove? Why so many people are so concern with what others will say or think about them, rather than what they can do to make their lives better and then serve others well? Just a thought, way too deep, but so true as well."

-Mr. Thoughtskoto

LOVE DITO, LOVE DOON

The past few days marami ako nakachat na mga tao. Well, lagi naman yan, kasi I try to always reach out and somehow to keep in touch. Naks!

Pero ang nakakapagtaka, the same ang topic, iba ibang sitwasyon.

Baka lahat sila magbabasa nito pero hindi sila lahat blogger kaya it’s safe to say "your identity is safe with me, or you’re in good hands with Thoughtskoto," hehe parang Metrobank. Para akong naging Joe d Mango bigla sa mga nangyari. Haha!

Meron isang tao na ayaw ng magmahal matapos masaktan. Meron pang isa na totally shutted out love sa kanyang life. Meron ding isa na kuntento na nagiisa sa buhay. Meron din isa pa na takot magmahal at walang pang karanasan umibig, takot masaktan at nagtatanong kung natututunan ba ang pag-ibig.

“Natutunan ba ang love?” Tanong niya saken.

Love can be learned but it must also be felt, sabay sagot ko.

Meron pang isang tao na lihim na nagmamahal, meron ding isa na ayaw umamin na may napupusuan, meron din takot manligaw, meron pang iba na animo’y bubuyog pag nanligaw, at higit sa lahat meron naman na akala mo’y pusong bato, I’m talking about my brother here, 26 na siya, ay 28 na, I am not sure, pero wala pa rin girlfriend at hindi pa rin nakapanligaw hanggang ngayon. Hehe

“Magiging magaling kaya ako na gf or wife sa kanya kung sakaling kami?” tanong ng isa pa sa akin.

"Knowing leads to understanding, so the secret of a successful relationship is to talk honestly. To communicate to each other…"ang aking mala-lolong sagot sa kanya.

Naalala ko pa minsan sa buhay naming mag-asawa ni Mrs. Thoughtskoto. Two years pa lang kaming kasal, kaya marami pa kaming natututunan everyday sa bawat isa. Minsan nagtampo siya sa akin. Nag-usap kami.

Hehe)

So we spend time together mag-usap sa ikakabuti ng aming pagsasama. The more we are open and we are talking, the better we understand each other. The more we feel closer, the more we feel in love to each other. May schedule kami na ako mag-aalaga ng baby, at ako tigas sa amin, short of Tigahugas, nyehaha. May schedule din ako ng computer, surfing at blogging while she does reading sa palm niya ng walang kamatayang Twilight Series. Hehe.

The easiest way to find love is to give love.

The quickest way to end love is to hold it tightly.

The best way to keep love is to give it wings and let it fly.

Mathematics of Heaven

As I mention before I am on vacation but I prefer to just stay in the Kingdom without going home to the Philippines since my growing family is here. So it's not actually a vacation, but maybe a little break from work so I will miss my cultured bacteria's in the microbiology and the lab. Actually, I feel so pampered by the never tiring cookings and bakings of my dear Mrs. Thoughtskoto, kaya sulit na sulit. hehe

Anyways, I just wanted to share this quick kasi baby sitter ako ngayon while my wife is busy at the kitchen.

It has been said that the mathematics of heaven are:

LOVE THAT IS SHARED WILL NEVER EVER BE LOVE DIVIDED.

LOVE THAT IS SHARED WILL ALWAYS BE LOVE MULTIPLIED.

Di ako magaling sa mathematics kaya kayo na bahala mag-isip ano ibig sabihin. nyehehe.

See you guys!

Wherever You Are

(The only memento I have of my beloved mother)
She was a graduate of a commerce degree from USA. No, not the US of A, but the University of San Agustin in Iloilo. He was a graduate of Mechanical Engineering in the same university. They met, they fall in love, they married, and they live happily...at least for a time.
She was at the prime of her life as a thriving and yes, versatile woman. But the failures on Dad's life, unemployment, vices and inability to accept the responsibility of rearing his sons plus the pressures of Mom's family eventually ends the relationship between them. We were left to her care.
Four years had past, she was able to recover and being the beautiful woman she was, and seemingly successful in life, she was haunted by men and guys. She fall in love again, bore another son, and the father is nowhere to be found. Four years again, she thought she learned from many mistakes, she bore the heartaches and pains brought by the terrible afflictions she been through because she thought she was being punished. But she cannot wallow in self-pity, she doesn't want to be miserable forever. She deserved to be happy. She longed to love and be loved. She fall in love to another guy, had relationship, bore her first and only daughter.  But the guy went to Manila and never heard of him since then.
Ito pong mga the stories I heard from her and found out a few hours before she left us, 16 years ago.
Those were the moments I heard the almost audible in ears na mga words I will never ever forget hearing from a dying mother.
"Please take care of your brothers and sister. Never leave them astray."
She was only 39 suffering from a breast cancer.
I was 16 years old then. Too young to live a life on my own.
My siblings are 14, 10 and 6. Not knowing what was going on.
Those moments in the hospital while she was breathing with the help of oxygen and other apparatus, and while she was holding my hands firmly that I instill upon my young mind the promise to be a good husband to my wife and a good father to my kids.
I've seen hardships and tribulations in my life.
I've heard many cries and wails out of pain and broken hearts.
I can't do nothing to alleviate or cease all of this but I can start with my own family.
And hope that legacy will live on with my posterity.
It's not easy, no one says it will be.
But yes, we can.
Today Mom Beth turns 57 years old.
Wherever you are, I have done my part.
I live to the promise I gave you.
I haven't seen you come up to the stage for our medals, or walk with us on our marriages, or dine with us in restaurants, or hold your grandson and granddaughters, but wherever you are, I know you are watching and I know, I can feel it, you are happy.
You're the best mother in this world. You want the best for us.
I always believe that a man can be seen as a caring and loving husband and father by the way he exemplify his love to his mother.
How can a man love a woman if he doesn't learn how to love his mother? There will be exception to this because there are mothers who used or being cruel to their sons or daughters, but generally speaking, any man who love and respect their mothers will simply mean mamahalin nila ang kanilang mga wife kagaya ng pagmamahal or higit pa sa pagmamahal sa magulang. Correct me if I am wrong pero yan po ang naiisip ko, and I've seen it sa ibang tao.

MY VALENTINE & THE GIFT

I will be very busy attending to the upcoming parties being the activity chairman. Pero magiiwan po ako ng song. This two song is one of the many favorites of the Thoughtskoto Family.
Hope everyone is upbeat and alive after February 14th.
They say its the day that cupid hits with his arrow, the heart of those who don't fall in love.
I don't know if there is really a cupid out there, but I know for sure there are people who need love and longing for somebody to love.
I wish I have the power to shower love to all, that this world we live in will have peace and joy abound. But no matter how much we try, when one-third of those among us are tempting the embodied spirits to forget L-O-V-E and instead cling to H-A-T-E
there will always bewar
there will always be crime
there will always be afflictions
there will always be greediness
there will always be death
but after all this toilings and hardships
as each of us listen to the heartbeat within us
a still small voice
whispering
like a music of the night
soft, soothing, peace, calming...
He is always there.
No lossing of signal
No battery empty
No network jam
the only means of communication that man cannot invent or fathom.

The Thoughtskoto family prays for all, to all our friends and Kablogs and greets you all a
Happy Valentines day!

If there were no words
No way to speak
I would still hear you

If there were no tears
No way to feel inside
I'd still feel for you

And even if the sun refuse to shine
Even if romance ran out of rhyme
You would still have my heart
Until the end of time
You're all I need
My love, my valentine

All of my life
I have been waiting for
All you give to me
You've opened my eyes
And showed me how to love unselfishly

I've dreamed of this a thousand times before
In my dreams I couldnt love you more
I will give you my heart
Until the end of time
You're all I need
My love, my valentine

La da da
Da da da da

And even if the sun refuse to shine
Even if romance ran out of rhyme
You would still have my heart

Winter snow is falling down
Children laughing all around
Lights are turning on
Like a fairy tale come true
Sitting by the fire we made
You're the answer when I prayed
I would find someone
And baby I found you

Chorus:
All I want is to hold you forever
All I need is you more every day
You saved my heart
From being broken apart
You gave your love away
And I'm thankful every day
For the gift

Watching as you softly sleep
What I'd give if I could keep
Just this moment
If only time stood still
But the colors fade away
And the years will make us grey
But baby in my eyes
You'll still be beautiful

(chorus)

(piano solo)

Chorus:
All I want is to hold you forever
All I need is you more every day
You saved my heart
From being broken apart
You gave your love away
I can't find the words to say
That I'm thankful everyday
For the gift

The First Time I Love Forever

This is by far the most favorite song I ever have all time, all my life. I grow up with this song. I dedicated this to my wife and before we get married I made sure she heard this song. In coincidence or an assurance, she has an MP3 in her Sony Ericsson phone! Mixed with the song is a poem by E. E. Cummings entitled 'Somewhere I have Never Travelled'

Somewhere I Have Never Travelled

Somewhere I have never travelled,

Gladly beyond any experience,

Your eyes have their silence:

In your most frail gesture are things which enclose me,

Or which I cannot touch because they are too near

Your slightest look easily will unclose me

Though I have closed myself as fingers,

You open always petal by petal myself as Spring opens

(touching skillfully, mysteriously) her first rose.

Or if your wish be to close me,

I and my life will shut very beautifully, suddenly,

As when the heart of this flower imagines

The snow carefully everywhere descending;

Nothing which we are to perceive in this world equals

The power of your intense fragility: whose texture

Compels me with the colour of its countries,

Rendering death and forever with each breathing

(I do not know what it is about you that closes

And opens; Only something in me understands

The voice of your eyes is deeper than all roses)

Nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands

E. E. Cummings

The Lyrics of the Song

-The First Time I Loved Forever-

The first time I loved forever
Was when you whispered my name
And I knew at once you loved me
For the me of who I am..

The first time I loved forever
I cast all else aside
And I bid my heart to follow
Be there no more need to hide..

And if wishes and dreams are merely for children
And if love's a tale for fools
I'll live the dream with you..

For all my life and forever
There's a truth I will always know
When my world divides and shatters
Your love is where I'll go...
