TWO ROADS IN LIFE

When I served a two years volunteer mission almost 15 years ago, the most intriguing and catchy questions I asked people from all walks of life, are these;

Where did you come from? Why are you here? Where are you heading?

Some sarcastic answer includes; I come from my mother's womb, I am here to eat, sleep and be merry, and I am going to the grave when I die.

Some thoughtful answer are these; I come from God, I am here to live a life, and I will be back to Heaven if I am good.

My faith and belief teach me and help me know some of the answers, generally speaking, about the purpose of life, about the plan of God for each of us, and what's the purpose of our coming here on earth. But each day, as we face different trials and challenges, we are still in the process of knowing all the answers to so many questions. I will be hypocrite I will say boldly that I know the answers to the all life's questions but I entrust everything to the all knowing God, and someday, maybe not in this life but in the life to come, we will know the answers.

"Everyone chooses one of the two roads in life - the old and the young, the rich and the poor, men and women alike. One is the broad, well-travelled road to mediocrity, the other the road to greatness and meaning. The range of possibilities that exist within each of these two destinations is as the diversity of gifts and personalities of the human family. But the contrast between the two destinations is as the night is to the day.

The path to mediocrity strait jacks human potential. The path to greatness unleashes and realizes human potential. The path to mediocrity is the quick-fix, short-cut approach to life. The path to greatness is a process of sequential growth from the inside-out. Travellers on the lower path to mediocrity live out the cultural software of ego, indulgence, scarcity, comparison, competitiveness and victimism. Travellers on the upper path to greatness rise above negative cultural influence and choose to become the creative force of their lives. One word expresses the pathway to greatness. VOICE. Those of this path find their voice and inspire others to find theirs. The rest never do. "

Each of us will never become great, famous or rich. There will be some who will be blessed abundantly, and there will be some who will live in vanity. There will be some who will be looked up by many, and there will be some who may never know how they inspire others. We try to uplift, we share the source of our enthusiasm and courage. We believe that beauty is to be enjoyed, and we can be happy if we decide or choose to be happy.

A man named Lehi, along time ago, taught us that there will be opposition in all things, good and bad, sweet and sour, pain and joy. There will always be two roads in life. One that leads to exaltation and never ending happiness, one is damnation, leading to eternal misery and forever shut out in the presence of God.

The choice is ours to make which road to take.

Choose the Right.
Choose eternal life.

Dear Arvin De La Pena, Lessons 101 For You

Wholesome is always awesome sabi nga nila.

Ang pangarap para sa sarili at kinabukasan ng pamilya na siyang nagtutulak para magtiis, that's where they draw strength to fight the terrible loneliness, and carry on even the most menial tasks at hand.

Yung matino ah.

(Updated 4x)

The aims of Neno’s Blog Award:

  • As a dedication for those who love blogging activity and love to encourage friendships through blogging.
  • To seek the reasons why we all love blogging!
  • Put the award in one post as soon as you receive it
  • Don’t forget to mention the person who gives you the award.
  • Answer the award’s question by writing the reason why you love blogging.
  • Tag and distribute the award to as many people as you like.
  • Don’t forget to notify the award receivers and put their links in your post.
Thank you to The Pope RuphaelSardonyx, Desert Aquaforce and Mommy Ek  sa pagbigay samin ng Neno Award na ito. Bakit ako at kami nagbloblog?

I got another award! Hehehe and again from NJ of Desert Aquaforce.

Plus, this most exciting thing!!!

Naglipana ang blog award sa blogosphere, anybody can just make an award to impress, to inspire, to gain traffic, to make new and more friends, or to share the wonders of technology.

Ang Pinoy Expats –OFW Blog Awards – Nagiisang site that honors the best and inspiring Filipino blogs and bloggers around the world. Kahit sino pwede sumali. May botohan na mangyayari, may magjujudge at de-kalibre. May awarding at sana may prizes din. May mga nominee banner na dapat idisplay. Kung sinong Top 50 by order of posting na magpopost ng launching entry, may premyo. So, wait niyo rito at sa two other blogs namin, ang Kablogs at ang PEBA

See you guys sa PEBA 2009 Project!!!

YOU’RE THERE TO SHARE

It has been said that there are more than 100 million blogs in the World Wide Web, spanning from all across the continents. And along with each blog are hundreds or maybe thousands of millions of posts and entries of different varieties, photos, cartoons, art, music, poems, essays and all forms of expression. But at the beginning and end of each of this post is an individual human longing for something…longing to be heard. Each and every post is a human being with a desire to express and to be appreciated… The aspiration to share, sometimes, even our skeletons-in-the-closets or our most sacred stories.

I have noticed that since publishing the Ka-blogs, there is a concoction of ideas, comments and friendship between Pinoy Expats and OFW’s around the world. Friendships develop, and the more we post about our work, our location, our thoughts and musings, our ideas and opinions, the more know each other, the more we understand and value our differences and our uniqueness. Each post be it from Japan, China, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, UK, California, Dubai, Malaysia, Brunei, or Saudi, is from someone Filipino in blood and heart, and when we unite, there is one word in that hundreds of thread that binds us all together, Filipino. There is one hope that binds us all too, TO SHARE. Some might be blogging for money or glory, but collectively, we all blog to SHARE.

There are people who blog about their great characters, their competence, their initiative, their stories and dreams, their visions and wisdoms gained. They blogged about their inspiring moral authority and lifted others to the higher grounds. They have wonderful identities, simple people, accountants, secretaries, engineers, construction worker, IT personnel, or plain ladies or mothers. They share their strengths and talents, and we noticed. We followed them. We shared comments.  They are not the best or highest paid people in their companies or famous in their communities, but bloggers, especially the Pinoy’s out there, become the model and source of excellence in this times of crisis and mediocre government.

I can’t fully express how I admire the Pinoy bloggers in my Kablog list, and I hope they keep going and more will be enlisted. I have admired the poems, photos, cartoons, and blog entries of you guys. In more than one time, I have express to most of you in my commenting how much I admire the post. I am a fast reader, I feel like I am an Alien sometimes in crunching the post, and I just wish and hope I think and type in the keyboard faster too!

Ganun pa man, maraming salamat sa pagshare.

Nanotice ko lang in reading your post I feel closer sa inyo, I feel akin, feels like you’re a distant friend.

Do bloggers needed to be thanked?

YES! Definitely! Sharing a part of you, your thoughts and ideas means you’re selflessly sharing what’s your best. May mga times na paulit ulit kong binabasa ang blog post ko knowing that there are actually people, and sometimes mahigit kumulang sa isa na bibisita sa site ko at magbabasa.(lol) If you think it may not be enough, but to someone reading the post and baka ako yun, it might be an answer to my questions or will somehow help in my decision or will lighten my day or the burden someone is carrying. A lot of times it happens to me. A lot of times I feel so much gratitude to all of you.

Shokran!

"Deafening Whispers of Help"

"Yes, there has been a cry... ...and the deafening 'whispers' of help have rapidly filled the blogosphere! This is a very remarkable act in the Filipino blogging community, worldwide!" - RJ of Australia

It took for me a day and a night to convince Twitch payagan ako magpost ng project na ito

"Don't keep us from doing something that will make a difference"

A few hours after I posted,

I received countless of calls, some honestly pledged help, some monetary and some through blog repost and prayers and wishes.

There are so many people worth to be mentioned but they prefer not to.

"angels in the form of friends..... ang nakakatuwa pa dito.. hindi sila basta mga kaibigan... hindi mo aakalain na matutulungan ka nila... malayo sila sayo... hindi kayo talaga magkakilala and yet... bukal sa loob nilang tumulong... sino ka man.. saan ka man at kung ano man ang kinalalagyan mo ngaun. and for that, isang bonggang-bonggang ROUND OF APPLAUSE para sa inyo fifol! hindi ko ugaling magmention ng names ng mga taong buong pusong tumutulong sakin... dahil alam na naman nila kung sino sila.... i am so thankful... sobrang touch na touch ako sa mga efforts their exerting... goin out of their way to help me in every possible way they can.. kaya super THANK YOU talaga sa inyo..."

- Yanah a.k.a Ms. Twitch

Taken care na po ang flight niya and we are trying to accumulate money para pocket money para kahit papaano makapgsimula sila kasama ang mga anak niya.

Maraming salamat NJ of Desert Aquaforce

Maraming maraming salamat sa inyo lahat. One by one memention ko po dito sa bahay ko as I update this blog.

YANAH: Friend, Ofw, and Kablogs,

~yAnaH~ said...

im sorry but i beg to disagree on this one:
i asked for a loving husband and a lovely family...what did i get?
i got a pocketful of kunsumisyon, quite a handfull of wrinkles plus the fact that "he" left us...
kaya ngayon, i dont ask anything at all... nadala na ako.. being disappointed and hurt once is already enough...
napahaba... chureee... nacarried away

Mr. Thoughtskoto said...

Yanah, Thank you for the comment.sabi ko "naisip ko lang" now I know na mali din yung naisip ko kasi you experience it talaga.
In fact iniwan din ang nanay ko ng tatay ko 6 years old pa lang ako.

 But its not over, right?

You won't give up because you failed once. Hope is constant. Somewhere out there, sometime, youll find the right one. The one that you're asking...
hehe, para na ba akong pari...
But hey thanks for dropping by!

~yAnaH~ said...

magic carpet poh kaya? meron?
i always admired those guys na talagang naglalaan ng time para sa family.. naglalaan ng time in being a father and a husband...

Mr. Thoughtskoto said...

Yanah, Oo nga noh. Magic carpet ni Aladdin. Regarding the dada/hubby thing, thanks. Ill take that as a compliment ha. hehe. I appreciate more people like you who will sacrifice to be away from home, and your loveones esp the kids just for their future.

sa post na

~yAnaH~ said...

i dont know why naluha ako dito..
wala akogn ibang masabi kundi yun lang...

 ~yAnaH~ said...

hmmmm u might have to remove me na poh dito sa kablogs list mo, ill be goin home soon.. for good...

******************************************************

kaibigan,
kadamay
kaugnay
kapamilya
kapuso
kaibigan.

Since I started the Thoughtskoto and organized the search project for Pinoy Expats/OFW Blog Awards, at masimulan ang aggregating site na KABLOGS

nevermind the number of visitors visiting their blogs, it doesn't matter to me,
never mind the lay-out and social bookmarking they've been listed,
or the nature of their jobs, or the status of their lives,
it don't care.
Every blog I read, or visited or commented,
means I am reaching out for friendship.

Thank you to Yanah. You're one of them.
You're one of the Pinoy Bloggers who in one way or another touches our lives for good.
Yes, we admire you. After your telling of the terrible experiences you been through,
and after making us laugh or feel sad with your stories,
making us mad or kilig with your entries,
in less than a month, you left an impression to me and I guess to others too that

YOU ARE INDEED A GREAT MOTHER TO YOUR 'INAKAYS'
(to borrow your term of kids)
YOU ARE INDEED A REAL AND TRUE FRIEND not just to
KOSA (oytttttt) and JEN and POGI
but to us, your fellow Kablogs.

KA-BLOGS! 150+ and Counting!
